joriandrake: hello Simon
Smon: Good morning Jorian
7:34am  2019-4-13 Keelia Has entered the room
joriandrake: hello Keelia
Smon: Hi Keelia! J&K Fergus was asking about switching games to the evening - Saturday evening or maybe Friday. Does thart suit you?
Keelia: hi guys!
Keelia: evening would be good
Keelia: I can do either, Friday runs the possibility of being late though
joriandrake: Saturday evening would work, I believe we started out with that or maybe Friday anyway
joriandrake: It would probably be better for me as well
Smon: OK let's do Saturday evening next week. 6.30pm ok?
joriandrake: ok, that is 19.30 for me then
Smon: I can do Saturday evening most weeks. If my monthly game is on a Saturday then could do Friday instead.
Keelia: Works for me!
Smon: 18.30 UK = 19.30 for both of you I think
Smon: Cool
Keelia: Yep
Keelia: Fridays are currently iffy anyway because I've been doing 50+ hour weeks. I haven't even had a chance to look into my XP
Smon: Get a calculator & do your XP now K!
Smon: Phones have them, PCs have them...
joriandrake: and I'm under a lot of stress due to stuff in family, I'm considering to drop multiple games atm, but weekend should still be safe
joriandrake: So those two won't come play today either?
Keelia: OK, let me start looking at XP
Smon: F & J are running late
Smon: Claw overslept for his own wedding!

JamesDevil: morning all
Smon: Hi James!
joriandrake: If you want to you can share the whole map/espionage thing with K meanwhile, as I plan to tell the others anyway
joriandrake: hi James
joriandrake: and now K dropped
7:47am  2019-4-13 Keelia Has entered the room
Smon: Hello again K
JamesDevil:
7:48am  2019-4-13 Keelia Has exited the room
JamesDevil:
7:48am  2019-4-13 Keelia Has entered the room
joriandrake: Where is Keelia now? the conn seems iffy
Keelia: sorry
Keelia: apparently opening a window try to find the blog disconnected me
JamesDevil:
Keelia: my computer has erased all my history. Simon, can you drop me a blog link so I can work out when I turned level 19 and which xp is after that
Smon: GM: OK, so Clank tells Quillax that Claw is getting married today, at the riverbank east of Jorgenfist where Claw & Ruk met and romantically decapitated hill giants together. Using Transport Via Plants Quillax is able to reach the gathering just in time, a couple hundred Shoanti and a small band of allied Stone Giants including Conna the Wise and her new husband Galenmir, who commanded the giant armies at the siege of Riddleport in 4713. An aged Goliath Shaman is pronouncing: "I now pronounce you Goliath and Wife - what Stone has joined together, let no one Rent Asunder! You may kiss the bride."
JamesDevil: you we're 19 a while back
Keelia: (did she have time to bring a gift?)
JamesDevil: C law
Keelia: (I know, but I'm trying to work out how close I am to 20  )
JamesDevil: leams in for the full wedding smooch
Smon: GM: You can grab something from Magnimar if you use two Transport via Plants for quick shopping
joriandrake: ('goliath and wife')
JamesDevil: eating breakfst and typing with the other hand is not good for spelling -.-
Smon: Claw & Rukvara embrace & kiss romantically. The assembled Goliath and giants cheer!
Smon: blog http://smonscurseofthecrimsonthrone.blogspot.com/
Keelia: thanks
joriandrake: Drakhaien will not disturb them, will wait for a good time after ceremony to notify the others of the map and events, but if possible before the important guests leave, so if they get involved they're already present
Smon: Jorian - Drakhaien you too arrived from Urglin with your precious cargo, just in time to see Claw's wedding. Lurking unnoticed amidst the crowd he sees a rather flustered Quillax arrive!
Smon: Claw - your happy day is complete as you see, after 7 months, Quillax come hurrying up from the nearest tree
JamesDevil: "Quillax!"
JamesDevil: "a happy day indeed!"
Keelia: "Claw! Congratulations! I nearly missed it!"
JamesDevil: Claw gives her a full bone breaking bear hug
Smon: OOC re XP Keelia if you are unable to calculate it you can level to 20 when Claw does
Keelia: She squeezes him back as best she can
Keelia: (Thanks)
JamesDevil: (i'm at 340100)
Smon: Rukvara: "Quillax! Welcome!" She eyes Quillax a little nervously.
joriandrake: "Congratulations you two" Drakhaien steps close to the newly wed pair. "Let your marriage be long, happy, and fruitful"
JamesDevil: Claw drops Quillax and returns to Ruks side holdingding her hand
Smon: Ruk's dad Chief Pallok nods too. "Your return is good news. Be welcome!"
Keelia: "Congratulations," she says to Rukvara, then in an undertone just to her, "You break his heart, I break you."
7:57am  2019-4-13 sandor sunneson Has entered the room
Smon: Ruk puts a well muscled arm firmly around Claw.
sandor sunneson: Morning all :),
JamesDevil: morning
Smon: There is a blue shimmer and Sandor Sunneson phases in to the riverbank wedding.
Keelia: Louder, she said, "Thank you, Chief. May this marriage be blessed and happy."
JamesDevil: "don't worry Ruk, she's far too small for me" he winks
Smon: The Goliath raise their axes and cheer.
joriandrake: hi
Smon: Ruk grins back at Claw, leans in and kisses him again.
Smon: The Stone Giants here - a dozen or so, don't cheer, but stand with arms folded, smiling indulgently at the 'little ones'.
Smon: Chief Pallok: "Let the feasting begin!"
Smon: The festivities commence as Lord Claw, now of Bearkiller, and Princess Rukvara are feted.
JamesDevil: Claw and Ruk will stuff a whole roasted chieken into eachothers mouths
joriandrake: Hm, I thought Claw is the one who continues his clan name
JamesDevil: (thats how a weding works right?)
JamesDevil: probably best no0t to#
Smon: >>"Congratulations," she says to Rukvara, then in an undertone just to her, "You break his heart, I break you."<< Ruk gave Arch-Druid Quillax a rather nervous look!
Smon: GM: After feasting on chicken & mountain goat Claw and Ruk retire somewhat early for some polite conversation and such... the festivities go on long into the night.
Keelia: (OK, so on 9-March, I was apparently 25k from level 20, so I'm definitely 20)
sandor sunneson: Sandor takes in a wedding, always a happy occasion with potentual tension hanging around in the background
sandor sunneson: well done Quillax
JamesDevil: gah
JamesDevil: brats
JamesDevil: gratz*
Keelia: (I should have keep better track, I was level 20 before the last session!)
Keelia: (We hadn't rested, so she couldn't have levelled anyway  )
Smon: The old stone giantess Conna the Wise approaches Quillax Sandor & Drakhaien, as well as Chief Pallok: "I do not wish to trouble you, but in the morning there are matters that should be discussed."
Keelia: Q wipes her hands and mouth clean on a cloth and stands.
Smon: GM OOC: OK Quillax you are level 20 now so you no longer need to track XP - you'll receive Epic Boons for Epic stuff like defeating astral dreadnoughts, krakens, rune lords...
sandor sunneson: Yes, shall we rendez vous after breakfast??
joriandrake: "I have some important matters to discuss as well"
Keelia: (great, thanks!)
Smon: OOC re Wildshape you can swap the infinite wildshape for: 4 wildshapes per short rest, can turn into any beast or elemental (2 shapes) up to CR 8 - so you could turn into a t-rex or elemental myrmidon CR 7.
Keelia: (got it  )
Smon: >>Yes, shall we rendez vous after breakfast??
joriandrake: "I have some important matters to discuss as well"<< Chief Pallok nods and glances over at Ruk & Claw's tent. "It will be a late breakfast, I think."
JamesDevil:
JamesDevil: Goliaths are know for their Endurence
Keelia: Q grins at him. "I'm sure they'll emerge eventually. Hunger will drive them out."
Keelia: "Start roasting some bacon and waft the smoke towards the tent," she advises with a chuckle.
joriandrake: (damn, I got hungry in rl now)
Smon: GM: Late the next morning, Claw & a rosy-cheeked Rukvara finally emerge from their tent, and over breakfast of bacon & goat cheese pancakes Chief Pallok calls the Council. The giants Conna & Galenmir sit cross-legged.
Smon: Conna the Wise nods to Drakhaien. "You have travelled far, I know. You should speak first."
Smon: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/4d/27/c5/4d27c55e6a259b5f4c26d9f6f180c649--rise-of-the-runelords-runes.jpg

joriandrake: Drakhaien nods, then speaks of the map he grabbed at Other Pathfinders have reported that the Shalast army at Urglin plans to attack Belkzen-Gastash to the east, but the map Drakhaien found at Urglin
joriandrake: eh, this came out wrong
joriandrake: Drakhaien nods, then speaks of the map he grabbed at Urglin
Smon: Chief Pallok sits with a half dozen other Shoanti Goliath chiefs in the circle, munching on a pancake. He nods as Drakhaien gives a rather garbled account :D. "The Runelords are on the march. There is much planning to be done, lest we be enslaved again as in days of old."
JamesDevil: Claw grips the sword of Wrath tighter
JamesDevil: "I already lost one family to those monsters, i won't lose another
JamesDevil: "
Keelia: Q r
joriandrake: This is Drakhaien's own conclusion investigating the plans: " it's widely believed Shalast intends to invade Gastash, but this map shows the opposite. There seem too many invasion routes for any reasonable force, they would be spreading themselves extremely thin. Why would they take on Haruka, Korvosa and Magnimar all at once? Perhaps they are possible alternate routes rather than an actual plan to invade all three at once? With Haruka ruled by the Runelord of Sloth, it is unlikely to be very active unless attacked. That might make an attack on Magnimar via the Storval Stairs (Warden: Lord Claw) and Turtleback Ferry (Warden: Lady Sephiria Kaddren) most likely. Jorgenfist is/was of course where Lady Quillax is based and is near the Stairs." (actual copy of result of investigation info)
Keelia: Q runs her hands through her hair
joriandrake: "The group, the Masked Tricksters helped me gain this information, and I can get them work on something like sabotaging a runelord's supply route if it comes to war"
Smon: Map here http://smonscurseofthecrimsonthrone.blogspot.com/2019/04/m12-4719-ar-drakhaien-at-urglin.html
JamesDevil: "hmm"
JamesDevil: "my men can hold the stairs"
Smon: Conna the Wise peruses the map. Then draws a deep breath and speaks.

"There are many among the Stone Giants still loyal to the Runelords - to Karzoug of Shalast. And we are a mighty force - we could crush your human cities. Teraktinus has not forgotten that you slew his dragon at Hook Mountain. He has already spoken of raising a force and going to Urglin to join the army mustering there."
Smon: GM: I posted info on the stone giant clans at https://smonscurseofthecrimsonthrone.blogspot.com/2019/01/rise-of-runelords-4719-ar.html
sandor sunneson: Looks as if they are going to subdivide into smaller units as they go along, or maybe it's a list of options they have depending on how they get on
joriandrake: "Opposing them, and winning of course, would give you more glory and prestige than being their lackeys however"
Smon: Conna looks to Claw. "Your men are brave, and they have won great victories against Ogres and Hill Giants. Against two hundred stone giants and five thousand or more lesser ones... they will not last long."
Smon: Chief Galenmir looks to Drakhaien. "Our clan will oppose them, as long as we live."
JamesDevil: "If we can take out their leaders any attacks they make would quickly fall apart
Smon: Rukvara is studying the map. "It seems a mess of red lines - but one thing I see. They plan to attack the Storval Stairs and also to come here, up the Muschkal river. It looks as if they may attack Jorgenfist from both east and west."
JamesDevil: "do we have anyway to quickly moving our forces between battle front? perhaps with you treestride magic Quillax?"
Keelia: "Treestride is limited," she says, considering
joriandrake: "There are other lesser leaders and independent forces I believe you might be able to persuade to either join your clan, or at least become allies against the runelords. SOme might due it for keeping peace, liking the current status quo without Runelords lording over them, or perhaps due to greed. Still, whatever their reasons might be, there is a chance for your clan to grow and come out of a war stronger"
joriandrake: do it*
Keelia: "We would need someone with a portal."
joriandrake: "The coastal realms might be willing to help, although first they'rel ikely will assume not to be in danger when the battles rage elsewhere"
sandor sunneson: I do not know these lands, we need to get other forces on our side. Looks similar to Wilderlands, need to negotiate to build an alliance
joriandrake: "Still, they got mages that could make portals, maybe even permanent ones"
sandor sunneson: For the greater good of the area, potential enemies may have to fight side by side
JamesDevil: "Ok, we so we need allies then, do we have any idea who on the other side of this conflict might be willing to switch allegiances?"
Smon: Conna nods to Drakhaien. "I believe the Crannoch and Jormunsir will side with us - for now. Teraktinus leads the Valissgandr. The Maidens of Minderhal will side with him. With the lesser clans, we are even-matched at present."
sandor sunneson: Have you dealt with any of these leaders/clans before Claw?
Smon: "The coastal realms might be willing to help" Rukvara looks to Drakhaien Quillax and Claw. "Magnimar - they will send an army. Right?"
Keelia: "Our allies in Magnimar would certainly raise an army for us."
Keelia: "Magnimar has much to loose if Greed pushes forward."
joriandrake: "I am not well versed in your traditions... is there an option for you, Lord Claw, or someone else request a duel for leadership with one or more of the opposing groups to gain control of them? As far I understand Lord Claw is de facto the leader of his own clan, being the last living member of it, but I don't know if that allows a Sheoli to contest giant leadership"
JamesDevil: "Thaat would work"
joriandrake: "It would be beneficial to us if at least some of the enemy groups could be turned to our side this way"
Smon: Chief Pallok nods. "The Goliath of the Iron Peaks will fight beside you, against the Rune Lords. We can raise a thousand warriors, given time.

Chief Galenmir: "A thousand Little Ones is nothing against the Rune Lords."
JamesDevil: "a single one-on-one battle with the head of each clan"
Keelia: "I may be able to defend Jorgenfist for a short time by changing the land itself..." she mutters to herself. Get enough Druids together and we can literally shape the world."
JamesDevil: "if we can harass their army as it moves forward we can buy some time"
Keelia: "That would keep the Stairs safe for the moment also, but it would open the west to further attack..."
JamesDevil: "we'd need warriors that can move fast however"
Smon: Conna looks to Galenmir at Drak's suggestion of a duel. She nods.

Conna: "If Claw challenges Teraktinus publicly to a duel, he must accept, or lose face."
joriandrake: (I think I'm chaotic enough to suggest this) "While terrible, having them attack deeper into the west would likely alert the coastal rich realms as well, sooner than I expect they would react otherwise, making their persuasion easier."
JamesDevil: Claw smirks "I like the sound of that"
Keelia: "And we must give Claw the edge," Q says. "Drak, do any of your books have anything on making potions of Giant's strength?"
Smon: Galenmir: "A duel is a good plan. Remove Teraktinus, I can bring almost all the Stone Giants of these mountains onto our side."
joriandrake: "I... don't use spell books, but I believe I can get someone make those, or at least supply a few"
Keelia: "Find whatever you can. Giant's Strength, Heroism, Vitality. While I'm certain Claw can beat this Teraktinus, we need to crush him to make an example."
Keelia: "If the fate of the world is involved, it's time to get creative."
JamesDevil: "Ok, I beat Teraktinus, that gets us a united front to fend off the Runelord attack"
joriandrake: (Will try to get these via the Masked Tricksters Simon)
JamesDevil: Once we have beaten the first wave we'll make a counter attack and push the monsters back"
Smon: GM: Teraktinus was the stone giant leader who kicked your butts when you attacked his caravan at Hook Mountain. He was also the 2iC under Galenmir in the Siege of Riddleport. He's a Ranger; you killed his red dragon pet.
Smon: https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirjugQPxGa2IQZ3PWwQX8O47gPC0FAXWefr7nP7hbTvpy2qC4M_PGkvukTh_J_lOfNskyVLY5_KyAB0ihLVoZW-_zaxkw3G0hyphenhyphenvgTjydIMGxZIPyk-3NG2Z5HcsDXU5uVvjNTVkeKoFobi/s400/Teraktinus.jpg
JamesDevil: as yes, good times
joriandrake: (2iC = second in command?)
Keelia: "We send word to our other allies, they will raise an army. Sephiria must have collected a vast group now, including my friends, the Maidens. Neril may have trained a thousand monks...
Smon: Galenmir: "Teraktinus brought the Kreeg Mauls to the giants - he is much respected. But his deputy Zinderall is a brutish thug, much loathed. Few will follow him."
JamesDevil: "do we know where Teraktinus is right now?"
Smon: >>(2iC = second in command?)<< Yes
joriandrake: "I'll speak with Lady Scarnetti, her aid will be useful in trying to persuade the coastal territories"
JamesDevil: "I'll beat Teraktinus but i won't kill him, better that he serve in disgrace than die with honour"
Smon: >>"do we know where Teraktinus is right now?"<<

Conna nods. "He is in the mountains south of here. I can summon a gathering of the Giant Clans. He must attend. You must defeat him before all the others."
JamesDevil: "Excellent"
joriandrake: "I'll try get those potions meanwhile, but be warned, if we are allowed to use potions then he's likely allowed to use those too. What are the rules of magical item use in duel?"
Smon: Conna nods with satisfaction. "He is a great warrior... But Claw of the Bearkiller is stronger." She smiles. "It will take me two weeks. I will send a Sending to Lady Quillax when the time comes for the Gathering."
JamesDevil: (I need 5 mins just to empty the dishwasher, brb)
Keelia: "No idea," she says to Drak. "But we need to be prepared for whatever we can."
JamesDevil: nvm,. my sis didn't want to wait
Smon: >>"What are the rules of magical item use in duel?"<<

Conna frowns. "He could call it cheating - especially if he is losing."
Keelia: "I will set my Druids to looking into defensive magics. We'll try to make the land inhospitable to travelling."
Smon: GM: Currently it is winter (December) and very cold, unless you're a goliath or frost giant. Orcs etc would likely need wait for Spring.
sandor sunneson: So a duel is a raw fight then? No magic powers? Thankfully they cannot remove your inner rage Lord Claw
JamesDevil: does equipment count as a magical advantage or do i need to do this in non magical equipment?
JamesDevil: "Simn
joriandrake: "Hm, a potion might be fine, it is hard to prove it especially if the efect wears off, but magical weapons, armor and such might not be a good idea to be used in the duel. We could perhaps have Claw use potions then after duel right away dispell them if still in effect"
Smon: (You should be ok with your gear, unless Teraktinus demands a naked wrestle!)  Conna: "So, it is decided. I will call a Gathering of the giant clans, to decide what to do. You go to the Human Cities and have them ready for war. In two weeks I will call you to the Gather-Place."
joriandrake: "On the other hand, I am not sure if Teraktinus wouldn't try to cheat either"
Keelia: Best time to shift the land is winter  Let the snow hide the traps.
joriandrake: (or have a lake under snow where once a grassy plain was, then melt the ice)
JamesDevil: "Hmm, the sword of wrath isn't exactly 'subtle'"
Keelia: Q considers the map again. If we raise cliffs and redirect the river, we can force them to follow a path we want, also... I need to work with my people
Smon: GM: For Quillax, there are 2 viable routes to Jorgenfist. One is up the Muschkal river from the east. The other is a narrow trail from the west (near Storval Stairs) through passes to the valley of Jorgenfist (Valley of the Black Tower).
Smon: Jorgenfist map https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI595jkZfoNcsJfnV-V7qFXFFiR2-jhR6JlCKNo9N93kG315H-oBKqyFB6fB_Cj3INe3tbmCD6Dbb4C0l-mHF-75ua6uunn4j9LX0M2FXmpbc4IR0-fi4-dJY-z0WYaMdXlwU2ymdAV7Lv/s640/Jorgenfist+Fortress.jpg
JamesDevil: "my giants str belt seems reasonable, that would leave the shard and a weapon"
JamesDevil: (any equipment with a + is magical, so unless i'm sneaky it might get noticed)
Smon: Rukvara looks to Drakhaien. "Defeating Teraktinus will not end the war. Who leads the army at Urglin?"
Smon: The giants Galenmir and Conna politely scrape the remains of the whole roast goats they've been eating into the fire pit, and stand. Conna: "We must go now. It is good to see you again Lady Quillax, Lord Claw. We will meet again soon."
joriandrake: Viorian Dekanti most likely
JamesDevil: Claw nods "untill then"#
Keelia: Q nods to them. "Travel safely."
Smon: "Travel safely, also." GM: Pallok Ruk & the goliath chiefs bid farewell to the stone giants of Kavarvatti, who turn and stride down to the river bank, through the rushing torrent, and out the other side. Soon they are gone from view.
Keelia: "Who is the Violin Dekanti?"
Smon: Pallok turns to Quillax "Your Fortress is strong, but has few defenders. The Goliath will be ready for war - to fight by your side, when the time comes."
Keelia: *Viorian
Smon:
Keelia: She bows to Pallok, "I am grateful for that. If you have need of my skills, or my people's, you need only send word."
joriandrake: (afk)
Keelia: Q is going to be busy for the next two weeks splitting her attention between stone shaping Jorgenfist to be stronger, the land around it to be inhospitable to attackers, and brewing potions. She'll get her people on doing the same
JamesDevil: Claw splits his time between Ruk and Training for the upcoming fight
Keelia: *if that's how long until the challenge
JamesDevil: The question is which weapon to use? a totally non-magical great axe, a +2 great axe or the sword of Wrath?
JamesDevil: I kinda want to show the sword of wrath at least and piont out to them that once they have done their part for the enemy thats what they'll be facing
sandor sunneson: what are the benefits of each weapon?
sandor sunneson: Sandor asks
Keelia: You should be fine with Wrath since it's been Claw's weapon for multiple years - you could claim it's your Clan weapon?
Smon: GM: Is Quillax staying at Jorgenfist, Claw spends his time with the Bearkiller? Sandor makes a good training partner.
Smon: (cue training montage)
JamesDevil: I guess i could, but great axes are generally a barbarian weapon
sandor sunneson: final countdown music
Smon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-8hOKNbtxg
JamesDevil: non-magical means they can't say i cheated
JamesDevil: I'm going to be wearing the giants str belt eitherway cos it looks cool (and is magic) and probably the shard since it isn't obvious
Keelia: Tuck the shard into plain bracers and no one will likely know?
JamesDevil: yep
JamesDevil: screw it sword of wrath it is
Smon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NJ2IhiOlyc

GM: Drakhaien needs to get to the coast - Quillax could Tree Stride him to Magnimar?
Keelia: Yes
Keelia: She can also cast wind walk on him if he wants to travel fast
Smon: GM: OK will say she casts Wind Walk - does not have to go herself. Drak Wind Walks to the coast, meets with Alicia Scarnetti at Sandpoint, and together they meet with Sheila Heidmarch of the Pathfinders and go shopping in Magnimar for potions.
Smon: 1 week later Quillax gets a Sending - from Alicia Scarnetti not Conna. "The Lord Mayor & Sheila Heidmarch want you to come to the Sihedron Council tomorrow. Bring Claw. And Welcome Back."
Keelia: Q tree strides to Claw and relays the request
JamesDevil: Claw kisses Ruk "i'll be back"
JamesDevil: "lets go"
Keelia: She tree strides them to the Council
Smon: GM; Quillax has been busy Stone Shaping defences to the Jorgenfist approaches - stone giants could just go around the narrow passes, but you should be able to hold off even a large orc-type army, with the aid of a small goliath army.
joriandrake: back
Smon: Ruk kisses Claw goodbye. "Watch out for those City girls!" Quillax Tree Strides Claw & Sandor with her to Magnimar and the Pathfinder Lodge. Sheila: "Welcome back Quillax! The Council is meeting in the Hall of Ushers."
JamesDevil:
sandor sunneson: Ultimate way to travel, thank you Quillax
Keelia: "Thank you Sheila!"
Keelia: (  )
JamesDevil: Claw Nods
Keelia: (Thank you for Travelling Quillax-express, for all your long distance instant travel needs  )
Smon: Sheila smiles. "We missed you!" Drakhaien & Alicia have been spending the week shopping in Magnimar. They locate newly arrived Quillax Claw & Sandor at the Heidmarch Manor Pathfinder lodge.
Keelia: "Apologies, there was a small incident with a planar rift and such," she explains. "It only felt like hours to me."
Keelia: "Quite a shock to come back to so many changes."
Smon: Potions they have located sources (spent 6 days, so 4 more days where says 10 days) : Potion of Healing 2d4+2 - 50gp - in stock (3d6)
Potion of Greater Healing 4d4+4 - 250gp - 5 days
Potion of Superior Healing 8d4+8 - 1250gp - 10 days
Potion of Heroism - 1250gp - 10 days
Potion of Invulnerability - 1250gp - 10 days
Potion of Mind Reading - 1250gp - 10 days
JamesDevil: I've got 1000gp
JamesDevil: I've already got 2 heroism pots
Smon: Sheila gives Quillax a peck on the cheek. "mwah."

Sheila: "Perhaps three Runelords is better than one - they seem to be keeping each other busy, for now! Our concern is that if Karzoug returns, he will seek revenge on us for thwarting his prior plans."
Keelia: "He'll be the one to focus on," Q agrees
JamesDevil: "hmm, this maybe a good time to stike then, prevent him from coming back then attack the next runelord"
Keelia: (Can Q learn how to many any of those?)
sandor sunneson: Sandor will order 2 potions of heroism
Smon: Sheila nods. "With your return, a strike against Xin-Shalast, the source of his power, becomes feasible... We'll see what the others say."
joriandrake: I'm sorry, this won't work today. My mom spoke to me and upset me, now I know why she acted strangely recently, she got fired from the place she worked for over 15 years now, but was not active at since going to hospital 3 years ago, only doing the refreshing exams that are required to keep the job, to get the money for her already existing deals/work. Laws in Hungary also changed this January and next week we'll be investigated to see if we still get the state support with me as carer at home for her or if we lose that as well, 'we're looking here at the potential of losing 2/3rd of our monthly income in 2 weeks.
Smon: GM: Yes Q can research a Rare potion formula for 5,000gp and 10 weeks - INT bonus.
Smon: Bad luck J.
JamesDevil: sorry to hear that man
joriandrake: I just can't focus and play after this, thank you for the game Simon, bye everyone. Hope things are sorted next week
Keelia: (sorry to hear that, J)
Smon: Bye J
Keelia: (bye)
9:31am  2019-4-13 joriandrake Has exited the room
sandor sunneson: how grim, hopefully we'll see him back here soon
Keelia: (I do hope it gets better for him. That sounds like a heck of a bad day)
Smon: GM: You have dinner that night at the Pathfinder lodge and spend a comfortable night there. Next morning after breakfast it's time to attend the Sihedron Council. Claw has been seat-warming for Quillax and Sheila brings Sandor as a guest and useful hero.
JamesDevil: Claw stands behind and to the side of Quillax like a massive bodyguard
Keelia: Q joins them with a nod towards the others
Smon: The Hall of Ushers is a grand marble building, the civic centre of Magnimar. You are ushered through white marble halls and up stairs to a circular chamber with a round table marked with the symbol of the unified Sihedron. Six of the 'shards' have been painted in gold, one is still bare wood outline. The Council awaits - fat Mayor Grobaras, grim and gauntly handsome Paralictor Rogare, Sheila, Quillax, and the others - 1. Lord Mayor Haldmeer Grobaras
2. Arvensoar Commander/military commander Ismeir Odinson
3. Pathfinder Venture Captain Sheila Heidmarch
4. Proctor Jyronn Imikar, High Priest of Abadar
5. Golemworks Master Thoth Bhreacher
6. Paralictor Sir Jereth Rogare, Hellknight of the Nail Commander
7. Quillax (replacing Claw)
Smon: See https://smonscurseofthecrimsonthrone.blogspot.com/2016/10/magnimar-major-npcs.html
Smon: Shapely Alicia Scarnetti has also wrangled an invite as a guest of the Mayor, and is sat next to him. Mayor Grobaras chairs the meeting: "Welcome, welcome everyone! So glad you could come. Please sit."
JamesDevil: Claw remains standing
JamesDevil: there isn't a chair in the room big enough for him
Smon: Paralictor Rogare nods respectfully to Quillax, then a little stiffly to Claw. He sits with the others.
Keelia: She nods back
Smon: Grobaras: "So, over the past few weeks we have had good news - the return of Arch-Druid Quillax, of course - and worrying news. The spy Drakhaien has uncovered the plans of Shalast..."
Smon: He nods to Alicia, who spreads out Drakhaien's map on the table.
Smon: Rogare eyes it. "This plan is a nonsense. They divide their forces countless times."
sandor sunneson: Sandor stays by Claw, observing all these powerful characters, reminds him of when he stood in a hall of powerful randoms with Hakeem
JamesDevil: "they are planing to spread US outthin
JamesDevil: us thin*
Smon: Alicia looks to Claw: "Drakhaien believes they will not attack the Realm of Sloth - which means they cannot easily reach Korvosa either."
Smon: The Mayor nods to Claw, ignoring Alicia. "Yes, my thoughts exactly - divide and conquer! We need to be very careful here. Currently we command a good position, with forward bases at Storval Stairs, Jorgenfist, and the Fort Rannick region. This must be maintained!"
JamesDevil: then we block the Storval stairs, make it so difficult and costly that they HAVE to go through Sloth
JamesDevil: "My men will hold the stairs with the giants that we have and can bring to our side"
Keelia: "Yes," Q muses, "We could possibly force them towards Sloth if we fortified the Stairs and left the other side undefended."
Smon: Grobaras nods. Paralictor Rogare eyes the map. "There is one alternative to the Stairs - the Storval Dam and Turtleback Ferry. It may become necessary to breach the dam."
Keelia: "Ah, perhaps that might be best avoided. There is a creature in the water. One that we shouldn't want to tangle with, if i remember correctly."
JamesDevil: "on that note is there anyway we could use that creature to our advantage?"
JamesDevil: "perhaps 'encouraging' it to attack the enemy as it goes by?"
Keelia: "I think if anyone should try to cross the water, it will attack, them. I do not think it can be controlled easily."
Keelia: "We could potentially stir it up but if we are guarding the Dam, it would then target our forces also."
JamesDevil: "a wild animal will attack even if it not trained"
Smon: Rogare: "If we breach the dam with Gastash forces in the valley below, Black Maga will fall on any that survive. The destruction will be total!"
JamesDevil: "this plan....could work"
Smon: Grobaras looks uneasy. "Of course the town ofTurtleback Ferry is directly below the dam..."
Keelia: "If you insist on involving the Mega, we will need to evacuate the civilians"
JamesDevil: could we stir up mega on the far side of the deep? where the enemy would coming from?
Smon: Rogare looks to Quillax: "My Hellknights are well equipped to breach the dam. You and Lady Kaddren's Gray Maidens can deal with the civilians."
Smon: Grobaras looks to Quillax: "If you could use your witchcra- your Druidic Powers - to gain some sort of understanding with the Kraken ...?"
Keelia: "They may trust us, as we saved them before. I will draw out where I repaired the dam before, so you can see it's weaker points."
JamesDevil: we'll need to convince the people of Turtleback to move NOW or they will be caught up in this battle
Keelia: Q tilts her head at him with a faint smile, "My powers always tended more towards machines and destruction then animals, but I can send some of my people to see if it can be calmed."
JamesDevil: "they'll also need a place to resettle, any ideas where that would be?" Claw looks around the room at the others
Keelia: "I will send word to Sephina to arrange the Maidens."
Smon: Rogare to Q: "I fear any people you send to the Kraken will be merely a tasty snack."
Keelia: "It will not just be Turtleback Ferry," Q says, "Anyone down the river will be effected if we destroy the dam. Word will need to be sent to all of them, although Turtleback will be completely destroyed."
Keelia: "I will take two of my strongest Druids and we will see what can be done. I promise nothing. The Maga is an ancient beast."
Smon: Proctor Jyronn Imikar, High Priest of Abadar, speaks up: "I don't like this plan. The property damage will be immense. And the Kraken will be released into Claybottom Lake, and even downriver to Ilsurian and Whistledown. It could be worse than an army."
JamesDevil: "Ok the whole area will need to be evacuated then, untill this war is over we'll need to move everyone from turtleback, IIsureian and anyone who lives in the ashwood and east sipplerrose down stream and too the west"
Keelia: "I do not recommend the destruction of the dam," Q said, "but we must be prepared for any eventuality. I would rather we know if the Maga will be ally or foe and that the people can be made safe."
Smon: Sheila: "We cannot move them in the depths of winter. Perhaps when spring comes..."
Rogare: "Tens of thousands live across those lands. A heavy burden for Magnimar to feed. Better we hold the enemy further north."
JamesDevil: "ok, another plan, the hell knight, giant tribes attack from the western iron peaks
JamesDevil: the men guarding the stairs can also help if needed, this will strike the enemy in the flank and force them into a large scale battle
Keelia: "A moment, in regards to the dam, we must send scouts to check the integrity. others may likely try to destroy it as before."
Smon: Grobaras: "We can make emergency plans for evacuation, and to destroy the dam if necessary. Only as a last resort."
Smon: Proctor Jyronn Imikar: "I can Send to Lady Kaddren and have her people check the dam."
Keelia: "Please, Proctor, that would be appreciated."
Keelia: "I think it's best if we can drive them Eastward. If we can make the Iron Peaks impossible to cross, and the Wyvern Mountains, we can drive Greed's forces into Sloth's, with the hope of causing conflict."
Smon: Grobaras nods: "Rogare, let us send your knights to the Skull's Crossing Dam. You will liaise with Lady Kaddren and make preparations to evacuate the civilians should it prove necessary. Quillax, see if Black Maga can be persuaded to attack enemy forces on the lakeside, before they even reach the dam."
Smon: Rogare nods to Q & C. "That would be best."
JamesDevil: brb
Smon: Arvensoar Commander/military commander Ismeir Odinson: "Now, we should discuss the likely main thrust - against the Storval Stairs. Claw, I take it you will need more men to hold them?"
Keelia: "It would only leave the Rivers as a way for Greed to travel. the Waterways can then be fortified with Archers and Wizards raining arrows and lighting and fire. Boats would not be able to pass.
JamesDevil: back
JamesDevil: more men are always helpful, once i've convinced the remaining ciant tribes to join our side we will certainlly be better off
Smon: Grobaras: "We cannot afford to maintain a large army in the field indefinitely... But I'm sure some forces can be spared. Rogare, perhaps you could ask your Lictor for more men?"
Smon: Rogare looks to Mayor Grobaras.
"The Hell Knights are thinly spread. King Tsadok demands them for the defence of Korvosa."
Smon: Grobaras looks to Claw: "Well if you would like to file a specific request, I'm sure we will consider it sympathetically. However if you have an army of Goliath, that would be ideal. And there are also the human Shoanti clans of course - would they not join you?"
Keelia: (brb)
Smon: Ismeir Odinson: "We can send supplies to the Stairs - enough to feed an army of Shoanti, if they will fight for us."
JamesDevil: "Goliaths don't 'file requests' I'll know how many I can have on my side once i've settled things with the head of the remaining tribal leader, the others will fall in line after that"
10:12am  2019-4-13 chris107 Has entered the room
Smon: Grobaras flinches slightly at Claw's rumbling tone. Rogare is still studying the map, rubbing his lantern jaw. "I fear with this the enemy intends to keep us in an overly defensive stance... a recipe for strategic disaster. We must be ready to take the offensive."
Smon: (hi Chris!)
Keelia: (back, hi, Chris)
JamesDevil: hi
chris107: Hi guys, not stopping. Just thought IĆ¢€™d pop in an say Hi as I havenĆ¢€™t seen you all for a while
Smon: We're doing high level Runelords
Smon: Keelia just hit 20!
JamesDevil: Once we've fended off the main thrust the enmy will turn to Slioth and we can make our counter attack
Keelia:
sandor sunneson: Hey Chris
chris107: (Yeah IĆ¢€™ve been keeping up with the logs. Looks like youĆ¢€™re having lots of fun)
Smon: Rogare nods thoughtfully to Claw. "That seems reasonable."
chris107: (Anyway, take care all! Laters!)
Keelia: (take care!)
Smon: (bye!)
sandor sunneson: Ciao
JamesDevil: cya mate
10:15am  2019-4-13 chris107 Has exited the room
Smon: Sheila Heidmarch: "All these military maneuvers... All this will be for naught if Karzoug rises! Our priorities should be Xin-Shalast - and the last Sihedron Shard. Once we reform the Sihedron we will have an Artifact of unimaginable power."
Keelia: "We should ensure the defences then we should go secure the last shard."
Smon: Rogare nods. "The Arch Druidess Quillax speaks wisely, Venture Captain Heidmarch."
JamesDevil: "The only other alternative is for a small force to bypass the main army get to Xin-shalast and attack while the army is gone
JamesDevil: "and that is VERY risky"
Smon: Sheila looks a bit disgruntled. "We have no time to waste..." she nods at Claw's words. "Indeed. A small elite band..."
Smon: Grobaras: "I understand most of your best Pathfinders are off opposing Runelord Zutha in Belkzen. That only leaves these few, plus I suppose Drakhaien, and Koriah Azmeren."
Smon: Sheila: "The enemy won't march from Urglin until the Spring thaw. That gives us three months to act. A lot can be done in that time."
Keelia: "Indeed, and we are not hindered by the winter weather," Q agrees.
Smon: Grobaras shrugs: "I leave such matters in your hands, Lady Heidmarch. Lady Quillax."
JamesDevil: we could also fake an attack during that time from Sloth"
Smon: Rogare: "A Slothful attack..." he grins slightly.
Keelia: Q leans back to look at Claw. "I do believe that would be a perfect feint. We send a small task force, that is not us, dressed in Sloth's symbol, and draw some attention there. We can do the same to Sloth from Greed's side."
sandor sunneson: Ok folks, interesting politics, I've got to go, will be in Spain for Easter but should be around for the evening game on the 27th. Sandor happy to 'volunteer' with his friends on any mad missions
JamesDevil: it would draw them away before they every even try to attack the stairsand also allow use to get our attack force behind them
JamesDevil: cya mate
JamesDevil: should we call it here?
Keelia: (bye)
Keelia: (I'm fine with either)
Smon: Grobaras steeples his hands. "Well for now it seems we have a good plan. Defend the Storval Stairs and the Skull Crossing dam. Heroes to take such other actions as are opportune to recover the Sihedron Shard, harass Urglin, perhaps go to Xin-Shalast."
sandor sunneson: (keep on discussing politics to set up next game??) (Happy to do whatever with Q and C in couple of weeks)
Smon: (reckon next game will include stone giant bashing)
sandor sunneson: Anyway, will read up blog later, ciao and thankls agains Simon for GMing
JamesDevil: I probably won;'t be around on the 27th, its MCM
10:24am  2019-4-13 sandor sunneson Has exited the room
JamesDevil: i'm going to be pestested by children shortly, mind if we end here?
Smon: yup will post log. Have 2,000 XP Claw

M12 4719 AR - Drakhaien at Urglin

Urglin Town, Headquarters Fortress of Commander Dekanti

Until 7 months ago, Viorian Dekanti was a well known mercenary commander of Riddleport. Indeed, she and the Elven Rogue Drakhaien used to have quite a thing going on, back in the day... Now she is General of the Armies of Gastash, Champion of Kazrzoug the Claimer and Wielder of Chellan, the Sword of Greed!
Fortunately, she is still careless with her battle plans... Under cover of darkness, Drakhaien is able to slip into her planning room and lift a map - a battle plan showing what appears to be conquest plans - leaving the untidy table in such a manner it appears undisturbed. Slipping out with alerting her sentries, Drakhaien is able to leave Urglin and head west towards the Iron Peaks and Jorgenfist Fortress, arriving just in time for Claw's wedding to Rukvara Bearkiller on the banks of the Muschkal River, at the very place where they had first met and decapitated two hill giants together. Goliath are nothing if not romantic.

"Campaign Plan 4720 AR" stolen by Drakhaien from the fortress of Viorian Dekanti at Urglin.

Viorian Dekanti
A renowned mercenary commander of Riddleport formerly known to Drakhaien, now she commands the army of Shalast mustering at Urglin - and she wields Chellan, Sword of Greed, stolen from Quillax's automoton servitor Clank by the sorcery of Runelord Karzoug. Karzoug is able to speak directly through her, as he did with Mokmurian.

GUILTSPUR MAPS

Guiltspur & the Giants' Steading
Level 1 Excavations
Level 2 - The Silent Halls

Saturday, 6 April 2019

Intermission - to M12 4719 AR

Varisia, end 4719 AR
Faceless Angel of Guiltspur

With Quillax lost, Claw & Drakhaien return home & recruit more Pathfinders; Abbess Yukiko does a cleansing ceremony with the bones of the Curator taken before the Guiltspur as the sun rises, laying him to rest. They proceed on through Guiltspur defeating animate statues, but eventually are unable to get past a terrible lake-Kraken & its cult of spirit nagas that guards the way on to Leng. Claw takes time to court Rukvara, get her dad's approval for marriage and is adopted into her clan.
Meanwhile the Runelords are on the march, and two have returned to Golarion.  Krune Runelord of Sloth has entered Kaer Maga at the head of a vast legion of undead warriors from the Kallow Mounds and the stones of Mundatei, joined his Cult of Lissala agents there, and declared it to be the new capital of Haruka Reborn. He has sent 'friendly' emissaries to Tsadok, King of Korvosa, and to the Lord Mayor of Magnimar, but otherwise appears to be doing very little. However it is rumoured that he has designs upon the dwarven fortress city of Janderhoff, which falls within the traditional borders of Haruka, and that his agents are at work in subtly corrupting that realm.

In the Orc nation of Belkzen, east of Varisia, Zutha Runelord of Gluttony has emerged from The Sleeper, a gigantic monument found in the northeastern-most spur of the Mindspin Mountains, and has set about re-establishing Gastash, adding the Orc hordes to his own undead legions. While this is taking some time - orc warchiefs do not submit easily - few doubt that he will succeed within months. All wait to see whether he will then turn against a neighbour - most likely Lastwall or Varisia, or possibly Nirmathas. The armies of Molthune to the south of Nirmathas have seized on this pretext for yet another invasion of the forest realm, claiming it is necessary to ensure their own security against Zutha.

And high in the Mindspin mountains, the return of Karzoug Runelord of Greed draws ever nearer. Forces bearing the Rune of Greed have conquered Urglin, and a Rune-marked army of giants, orcs and ogres is mustering there. Pathfinder agents reporting to Sheila Heidmarch in Magnimar believe that Karzoug's army intends a pre-emptive invasion of Belkzen-Gastash.

Urglin
Drakhaien's investigations indicate that the rune-marked Shalast army mustering at Urglen, while significant by Varisian standards, would appear hopelessly inadequate for a full scale invasion of Belkzen, especially in the face of returned Runelord Zutha. Furthermore while there are hill and stone giants, it includes very few of the best Greed forces such as the fire giants - General Stom, for instance, remains at Guiltspur with all her men - and none of the 40' tall Rune Giants rumoured to roam the high peaks of the Kodar Mountains.

Karzoug is able to speak directly through her, as he did with Mokmurian.

Khalib
The 'First Apprentice of Karzoug' is apparently a newly awakened Azlanti Thassilonian from before Earthfall. Little is known of him, and he rarely leaves Xin-Shalast, but as a master of Greed Magic his magical powers are likely considerable.

Most High Ceoptra
This great Lamia is High Priestess of the cult of Karzoug the Claimer, whether the cult is new or formerly hidden is unknown. She has been working to spread worship of the Claimer throughout the Cinderlands and beyond, spreading word of Karzoug's triumphant return.

joriandrake: Usually it is others who write me that I don't see though, not the other way around
Smon: GM: The ceiling of this vaulted, cathedral-like chamber rises to a
height of sixty feet above. The northeastern corner of the room is somewhat collapsed, but the rest of the chamber seems to be
in good condition. Double doors open in the walls to the east
and west, while four alcoves to the north and four to the south
are occupied by statues of winged women with no faces.
Smon: GM: Shieldbiter appears!
Smon: GM: Claw is feeling tired after his epic fights.
Smon: Broken glass and puddles of black fluid on the floor.
sandor sunneson: Sandor waves at SB
DESTROYERBILL: i wave back
sandor sunneson: shall we head east??
Smon: GM: Drakhaien checks out the west iron doors, ascertains that the trap is now discharged & they are unlocked. They are not airtight, there is a small gap beneath. From beyond them comes the roar of a waterfall, not far off.
Smon: East will take you back to the hexagonal chambers.
Keelia: West then
Smon: Who opens the doors?
Keelia: We disabled the trap on the door by yanking it open, so we should be able to go West without a problem
Keelia: *with mage hand
Keelia: That's what blew up the glass containers of monsters
joriandrake: (found it, drak is on 49 hp)
Smon: GM: You can complete a short rest first if you like
Keelia: (Can we have a short rest so I can get my animal forms back?)
Smon:
Keelia: (Yes please  )
joriandrake: Yes, Drak could use Mage hand to open doors or lockpick them, would be a good time to have some rest too though
Smon: GM: OK, 1 hour later...
sandor sunneson: sure
joriandrake: hd spending to heal?
Smon: Claw has collected all the sicatite swords from the statues and put them in his bag. Yes roll hit dice as desired.
Keelia: (go for it Jorian)
DESTROYERBILL: hey keelia what is your xp like ?
Keelia: (I'm not sure Bill, I haven't totalled it up in a while  )
joriandrake: I start with 8 rolls
DESTROYERBILL: you could be level 20 and not know it so you go to add it up
joriandrake rolls 8d8+16 and gets: 5, 8, 6, 8, 6, 7, 5, 3, (+16) = 64
joriandrake: 49+64=113
joriandrake: I spend one more dice, then have 8 left to use later
joriandrake rolls 1d8+2 and gets: 6, (+2) = 8
Smon: GM: You mage handing the west doors open?
joriandrake: good, 121/122
joriandrake: If that's the one others wish to open?
Keelia: If James isn't level 20 then neither am I  I need to go back through the pages and determine what xp I got after I turned to 19. I'm fairly sure I've got at least 10k to go
joriandrake: Drak will open if yes
Smon: A roar of water echoes from this chamber (25' e-w by 60' n-s), and the air is damp
with cool mist. A dark circular pool directly opposite you (about 30' across, crescent extending 15' into the west wall) fills much of the western end of the
chamber, while to the south a set of stairs leads up to another
room. Tumbling into this pool from a bronze-ringed gap in the
ceiling above is a column of frothy water, while a small ledge
sits just above the water level on the westernmost edge of the
pool itself.
DESTROYERBILL: keelia what if james also forgot and is level 20
sandor sunneson: Sandor will use his eagle eyes to see if there is anything of interest
Smon: Roll Per Sandor
sandor sunneson rolls 1d20+6 and gets: 7, (+6) = 13
joriandrake: considering where we are the pool might be used in rituals or mybe used as one of the gates to other planes
sandor sunneson: hmmm
Smon: There is only about 10' of floor between the east edge of the pool and the doorway where you are.
To the north about 25' there is a set of iron double doors in the middle of the north wall, matching the others you've seen.
joriandrake: Drak will also quickly take a glance at the room, to check for traps or anything else (just passive sight)
Smon: Drakhaien & Quillax with their Passive Per 20+ detect two man-sixed shapes forming in the waterfall at eye level, just above the water surface.
Smon: man-sized
joriandrake: ok, Drak ducks back behind the door/wall and informs others
Smon: As they coalesce out of the water, they take on the appearance of armoured warriors, in sea-shell armour & carrying tridents, but formed of water.
Smon: Drak ducks back.
Smon: The two Elemental Myrmidons step out of the water...
Keelia: Q sighs.
Smon: Leaving the waterfall they approach the east lip of the pool.
Smon: Their faceless visages appear to regard Quillax.
joriandrake: Drakhaien hides and hopes they didn't notice the party
joriandrake: nvm
Smon: They lower their tridents and bow.
Smon: (Drak is out of sight of them)
DESTROYERBILL: ooc when daddy first got mordain kahniens i reaserched the mrymidons non stop looking at their stats and what they look like their cr 7 i belive
Smon: And speak as one in Aquan, which somehow you can all understand (the library seems to have a Tongues effect).
sandor sunneson: 'Good day fair Stranger' Sandor will say
Keelia: Q bows back
Smon: "Great Arch-Druid of this Realm. We greet you in the name of the Lords of Aqua."
Smon: "We are summoned to defend this vault. But we do not wish to battle you, for thine ancestors did Pact with our Lords."
Keelia: "Greetings, friends," Q replies. "We have no quarrel with you. I am glad we honour our Pact. We will pass quickly from here and disturb you little."
sandor sunneson: Battles are not always required either he'll respond
Keelia: "You do your Lords a great service."
sandor sunneson: Are there any dangers ahead you can warn us of that we may encounter??
Smon: The Myrmidons nod to Quillax, pretty much ignoring Sandor.
"Beware, for we sense great Evil here. Those who crafted this Summoning long ago were no friends of Aqua. And our Corporeal forms were last destroyed by a great dragon, only moments ago."
sandor sunneson: Thank you
Smon: "Moments... longer, as this world understands time."
sandor sunneson: What type of dragon?
Smon: "Blue"
Keelia: Quillax bows, "My thanks for the warning. We are looking to prevent the Evil from spreading. Should we get the chance, we will avenge your corporeal forms."
joriandrake: Drakhaien softly reacts "That might've been centuries or thousands of years ago"
DESTROYERBILL: i speak up "what age whas the mighty beast
DESTROYERBILL: "
Smon: >>Should we get the chance, we will avenge your corporeal forms."<<

"Do not worry. We have reformed, as you can see."

They look to Shieldbiter.

"It was very large."
Keelia: "Time passes as the water in the river, sometimes fast in the middle or slow by the banks," she says to the others.
Smon: Have Inspiration for that Q
joriandrake: (Nice RP comment K)
Keelia:
DESTROYERBILL: " was the dragons horn larger than your trident
DESTROYERBILL: "
Smon: The elementals look at SB (roll Persuasion SB)
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d20+6 and gets: 3, (+6) = 9
Smon: They ignore him.
Smon: The Myrmidons step back, raising their tridents to a sentry position.
Smon: GM: No one has Arcana trained, right?
Keelia: Q nods to her companions, "We know of the dragon, we know how long it has likely been here. The Giants told us when it was last seen. It will be an adult dragon at the least."
Keelia: (no Arcana. At some point one of us will sort this out  )
joriandrake: I got history
DESTROYERBILL: most likeley an ancient if it was able to destroy two mrymidons with ease
Smon: GM: There appear to be two exits from here - doors to north and stairs to south.
joriandrake: (I don't think I get any more feat chances to take proficiency in Arcana, I know tool use can be learned, if this option exists for Arcana then I'll spend time for that)
Keelia: North?
Smon: The stairs are 15' wide and rise 15', looks like they go up to a large hall beyond, from which comes blue light. The doors to north are each 5' wide.
joriandrake: Drak will stealth/scout North then
joriandrake: (use Mage Hand to open from safe distance/angle)
Smon: GM: Drak heads over to north doors, checks for traps then mage hands them open. There is a 5' area they opened into with a second set of matching doors beyond. No traps on these either it looks like & not trapped, but you spot faint yellow light from underneath them, flickering like candle light.
Smon: The second doors open away from you.
joriandrake: o_O hidey hide
Keelia: "Check the second set of doors, please."
Smon: Drak can hide in NE corner of waterfall chamber if desired.
DESTROYERBILL: boss music plays
joriandrake: He'll hide in dim lights/shadows, even if it means he tracks back to others first (main reason I took Skulker feat)
Smon: OK
joriandrake rolls 1d20+15 and gets: 2, (+15) = 17
sandor sunneson: Sandor remains on alert, checks ground for any footprints or any marks of interest
Smon: There is a faint blue glow from the waterfall, creating dim light here
joriandrake: 25 Stealth
Smon: Sandor roll Survival
sandor sunneson: Survival Constitution?
Smon: *sigh*
sandor sunneson rolls 1d20+9 and gets: 7, (+9) = 16
Keelia: wis
Smon: WIS+Prof
sandor sunneson rolls 1d20+6 and gets: 17, (+6) = 23
sandor sunneson: sorry, related it to HP
sandor sunneson: thank you Keelia
Keelia:
Smon: Sandor detects widespread scratch marks on the floor. Looks like something large and dragony went north from here.
sandor sunneson: He'll point it out to the others,
Smon: Judging by the marks it somehow appeared in this chamber before moving north. Marks near the waterfall indicare a brief fight there.
DESTROYERBILL: fergus rember there is no constitution checks only constitution saves
sandor sunneson: Looks like our target is in sight
Keelia: Q nods
joriandrake: sandor seems better investigator than the detective
joriandrake: How old are the marks?
Smon: Drak roll investigate
joriandrake rolls 1d20+14 and gets: 17, (+14) = 31
Keelia: nice
Smon: They look only months old, quite fresh.
joriandrake: actually better than my passive (which would be 29)
joriandrake: "hm, those 'moments' were not as long I assumed, the draconic marks are just a couple months old"
joriandrake: oh, and I forgot to add the +1 from the floating stone, so 32
DESTROYERBILL: shield biter will investigate the depth of the marks
joriandrake: (or not, nvm, this is INT)
sandor sunneson: press on carefully??
Smon: DC 30 It looks like the dragon must have been incorporeal or gaseous before manifesting here. Likely passed through the east door without triggering the trap, before encountering the elemental myrmidons.
Smon: SB roll Nature
Keelia: Someone cast wind walk on a dragon?
joriandrake: "Alertness is advised, this doesn't seem like a traditional dragon either, might be able to turn into mist or is a spellcaster"
sandor sunneson: or as a NPC
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d20 and gets: 2,
Smon: GM: The scratches are pretty deep considering how hard the stone is.
Smon: About 1/4 inch
sandor sunneson: could this maybe be an ancient dragon?
DESTROYERBILL: most likeley an ancient then if its deep scratches and it can use magic
joriandrake: "I'm not an expert on dragons, but it is powerful"
DESTROYERBILL: dont qoute me on this but i belive i read that blue dragons are more likeley to cast magic in anceint hood than anything else its rare or use of magic in ancients but even rarer in adults
Keelia: Q considers. "We should move carefully and quietly. Stay together and be prepared to flee at any point should this situation spiral beyond us."
Smon: (GM OOC: Passive Investigation is not 'always on', but is used for repeated attempts at the same thing, eg when there is no time pressure, so can typically apply when checking a room for clues)
sandor sunneson: totally
sandor sunneson: Lets cautiouslly move on as a group, keeping an eye out for any suspicious or any odd noise or smell
8:28am  2019-4-06 joriandrake Has exited the room
Smon: GM: I'll NPC Drak a bit
Smon: Drak Mage hands the second set of doors open...
Smon: This large room seems to be some sort of chapel, yet no
pews or other concessions toward comfort are apparent.
The ceiling is low, just over ten feet in height, giving the
place a claustrophobic feeling compared to the high ceilings
in nearby chambers. The walls are of polished black stone,
while an upraised pulpit to the north supports a pale yellow
altar on which two fat candles flicker. A tall column stands to
either side of the altar; the length of each column is carved to
resemble an emaciated gargoyle-like figure that lacks all facial
features on its horned black head.
Keelia: "Evil alter," Q guesses.
Smon: There are double doors to east and west sides of the chapel, which is about 30' n-s to 50' or so e-w.
Keelia: She eyes the gargoyle like columns warily.
Smon: You can roll Religion if desired
Keelia: "Maybe we don't touch."
Keelia rolls 1d20+4 and gets: 20, (+4) = 24
Keelia: waste of a Crit
Smon: cult. The temple itself can be identified as
one dedicated to the awful glory of the Outer Gods and
the Great Old Ones, although it doesn’t seem to be devoted
to any one entity in particular. The two candles on the
altar appear lit with continual flame.
Smon: Can roll History (anyone)
Keelia: "Cult for Old Gods seems about right."
Keelia rolls 1d20+10 and gets: 2, (+10) = 12
Smon: Drakhaien: "This chamber was likely used by visitors from Leng as a
minor temple to carry out the more obscene acts of their
blasphemous cult..."
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d20 and gets: 10,
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d20+7 and gets: 5, (+7) = 12
Keelia: "My personal history says cults and alters are usually not a great thing to mess with. I wonder if they summoned the dragon somehow."
Smon: Drak: "The giants said the dragon came to Guiltspur with them, in service to Karzoug..."
Smon: OOC: I could really do with an Exposition NPC in the party. Maybe you could haul Sheila along.
Keelia: "True. But you've also got a dragon, perhaps the same one, managing to magically appear in the next room and pass through doors without trigger the traps. If the dragon was ancient enough, perhaps it could do that. Or perhaps it had some cultish help," she shrugs
Smon: OOC: You can all have 1500 XP so far today (Jorian too if he reads this)
Keelia: "Either way, cult-alters are bad," she grins, heading towards the Western doors
Smon: Quillax heads over to the west doors. Drak checks they're not trapped then mage hands them open.
Smon: A small chamber 20' n-s by 15' e-w, w wall curving to matching double doors in centre of w wall.
A human skeleton lies slumped against the northern wall here,
draped in a fine cloak and clutching a haversack to its chest. Something about it seems familiar to Quillax.

Smon: The cloak... it matches the ghostly cloak 'worn' by the curator.
Keelia: "Gotcha, you ghostly jerk," she grins.
Smon:
Keelia: "Now, we can put him down permanently."
8:40am  2019-4-06 joriandrake Has entered the room
joriandrake: hope this was all for the blackout
Smon: I'll post log so J can read it
Keelia: "No more of this reforming and harassing us."
Smon: Log so far https://smonscurseofthecrimsonthrone.blogspot.com/2019/04/ep-76.html
Keelia: Q will step close enough to investigate the corpse. "How do we put him down permanently? Do we burn him? Or bury him? I think I've got some holy water in my bag..."
Smon: Drak you are in a blasphemous temple to the Outer Gods just north of the waterfall. Quillax has stepped through the west doors & found skeleton that matches the ghost of the Curator.
Smon: GM: The skeleton also wears the Curator's bejewelled headband; it resembles a very ornate headband of intellect.
Keelia: Q plucks it from the skeleton.
sandor sunneson: Sandor tries it on for size
Keelia: (She passed it over to Sandor)
Keelia: She'll check him for other loot.
Smon: GM: You need some way to lay the ghost to rest, yes. A Divination spell or similar could uncover the exact means.
joriandrake: ("GM OOC: Passive Investigation is not 'always on' "- fair enough, I took Observant mainly because Passives like Investigation are pretty blurry in rules and wanted to ensure I even have that at all, but due to Rogue ability I still have always at least 24 in it, as it's trained proficiency and I can't have a roll lower than 10  )
Smon: Sandor puts on the band and feels a tingle of smarts (when attuned it gives +2 Int +2 Cha and proficiency in Perception, or Expertise in Perception if you already have Prof)
joriandrake: ("OOC: You can all have 1500 XP so far today (Jorian too if he reads this) - noted, but we didn't end session yet, right?)
sandor sunneson: (Attuned out unfort, so someone else can wear)
Smon: (J OOC - yes, I'm using the description for Passive scores in the PHB)
joriandrake: nice find, Sandor can keep that or maybe hand to Keelia, Drakhaien has those and would only benefit from CHA for 1 DC increase in spell save rolls
Keelia: Q will put it in the bag of holding. You never know what it will come in handy
Smon: Quillax checks the body - cloak is a cloak of protection. She opens the haversack - it holds two spellbooks of wizard spells.
joriandrake: the more people have expertise in perception the better
Smon: Also it's a Heward's Handy Haversack.
Keelia: Cloak of protection also goes into the bag
sandor sunneson: OOC- I've got a furniture delivery to take care off shortly, so if i go quiet I'll be back shortly
joriandrake: "oh, that is nice"
Keelia: Q just puts it all into the bag of holding to deal with later
Smon:
Smon: oops
joriandrake: I am not sure if my connection lasts either
Keelia: "Right. Let's figure out how to put this guy down permanently," Q mutters to herself
Keelia: (Oops? Oops is not good.)
Smon: There's a blast of magical energy as the the bag of holding ruptures, creating a swirling rift to the Astral Plane that sucks Quillax Sandor & I guess the others through, destroying haversack & bag.
joriandrake: T/he curator may rest in pieces, also in peace
joriandrake: o _O
Keelia: Well shit
Smon: OOC Putting everything into a bag of holding was bound to get you eventually.
sandor sunneson: oooh, wee twist there
Keelia: Figures.
joriandrake: what is the save to get out of this mess?
Smon: GM: Sandor & Quillax were definitely within 10' of the rift, J & B you can choose if you were
sandor sunneson: a 20 roll
Smon: (it's not an auto kill)
joriandrake: nope
joriandrake: still nope o.O
DESTROYERBILL: i go in i dont want quillax to be left alone
Keelia: IF we don't end up on a plane that kills us immediately, Q can take a long rest to swap spells for plane shift and get them all back.
joriandrake: In worst case Drakhaien will sneak out of here alone, astral/temporal/pocket dimension issues are terrible usually
Smon: GM: SB Sandor and Quillax tumble through into a starry void, floating in a shimmering astral sea. The stars shine overhead and in the far distance you can see what look like islands floating in the astral sea.
sandor sunneson: Don't think Sandor has been on astral plane before
Smon: The former contents of the bag of holding are strewn around in a mess about 30' across.
Smon: Drak is left alone in the Guiltspur.
joriandrake: (now, that is a good sign, they're not destroyed)
Keelia: Q sighs and starts picking up items.
DESTROYERBILL: ill help
sandor sunneson: Sandor picks up what is close to him
Keelia: "bloody curator."
joriandrake: (you might even get back to the proper plane)
Keelia: "thanks," she says and starts bundling stuff into the cloak as well as filling up her pockets with smaller items.
Smon: GM: You find you can move slowly around via willpower alone (or flapping wings).
8:56am  2019-4-06 joriandrake Has exited the room
Smon: encounter check...
Smon: /roll d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 6,
Keelia: "Bloody astral plane. Bloody curator. Bloody ghosts."
Smon: LOL
Smon: see how bad it is, 6 is worse...
Smon: /roll d6
sandor sunneson: lol
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 5,
Keelia: (well, at least we get XP out of it, if we survive  )
sandor sunneson: get ready Bill,
sandor sunneson: great way to go!
DESTROYERBILL: if its not to bad we can probably kill it
Smon: Something big is swimming towards you through the starry void.
Keelia: Q squints at it and starts picking up things faster
DESTROYERBILL: quillax you might want to use your 9th level polymorth thing
Smon: Getting rapidly closer....
Keelia: Can we see what it is?
Smon: https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnUIoU-exlw_xwE29on-jTZyZfkEILNrtSzSoXp2S-txIUgf7TVZE9x62VT6VqufocE956bmbmwS7WKcl5hM5eEfloMQmuTRCi_LF0I4LfA66f6rAH8dlSj5-dzwMyGQpTXFqs4GgqH61g/s640/tumblr_inline_nj9x6bg1VN1r0zz7o.jpg
Keelia: Nature?
Keelia: Investigation?
sandor sunneson: delivery here
Keelia: Well,
Smon: GM: You have picked up most of the stuff as the Astral Dreadnought comes within attack range...
DESTROYERBILL: holy mother of god
Smon: As big as an ancient dragon and covered in thick spiked plates, the the dreadnought has two gnarled limbs ending in razor sharp pincer claws.
DESTROYERBILL: beam me up scotty beam me up oh god please save me
Smon: SB starts gibbering in fear.
Smon: Roll init please
Keelia rolls 1d20+3 and gets: 9, (+3) = 12
DESTROYERBILL Rolls 1d20+4x2 and gets:
9 (+4) = 13
19 (+4) = 23
Smon: /roll d20-2
Smon rolls 1d20-2 and gets: 9, (-2) = 7
sandor sunneson: i'll be back in 5 mins
DESTROYERBILL: ive only heard about these monstrositys they can sever you tye to your soul
Smon: GM: It has a move of 80', your move is 40' (SB) or equal your INT, so you're not outrunning it.
9:04am  2019-4-06 sandor sunneson Has exited the room
Smon: OK it's about 300' away right now. SB your go
DESTROYERBILL: i rage
DESTROYERBILL: and get ready to attack
Smon: #12 Quillax your go
DESTROYERBILL: i say to quillax turn into somthing big quick
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d20 and gets: 3,
Keelia: The problem is it's just a little too far away to do nasty things to.
Smon: You can do nothing if you want, or cast a spell etc
Keelia: She'll do two things. She'll ready a spell and she'll turn into an air elemental, probably has the best movement in astral space
Smon: ok what spell?
DESTROYERBILL: cast a spell you can cast a level 9 spell that can turn you into a being of cr 19 right the true polymorph
Keelia: one sec, just need to double check beast spells allows me to cast V S and M
Keelia: I don't have true polymorph, I just have polymorph, which I can cast level 9
Smon: You can't provide components or focus in shaped form but can use any w just V & S
9:10am  2019-4-06 sandor sunneson Has entered the room
Smon: Fergus roll init
DESTROYERBILL: but you turned into an adult red dragon before
sandor sunneson rolls 1d20+3 and gets: 13, (+3) = 16
DESTROYERBILL: advantage fergus
sandor sunneson rolls 1d20+3 and gets: 15, (+3) = 18
Smon: OK what is Sandor doing? Dreadnought is 300' away
sandor sunneson: what are the others doing??
Smon: SB readies an attack, Q is pondering
Keelia: True, I have taken dragon form. Simon, will you allow polymorph on myself at level 9 to take adult red dragon form again?
sandor sunneson: Sandor readies
Keelia: Q has had a very bad day, a red dragon would fit her temperament about now
Smon: Also Q turns into an air elemental & could outrun it
Smon: S readies an attack
Keelia: Unless she can drag the others with her, she's not going to leave them behind
sandor sunneson: and positions up beside SB
DESTROYERBILL: quillax you need to cast your sunurst spell on it if it cant see us it loses some of its mager powers
Smon: Polymorph is any Beast up to your CR/level
DESTROYERBILL: we need to take out the eye that is the most important bit thats were its main power comes from its soul cutting attack is based off sight
Keelia: including dragons?
Smon: SB has been studying Archmage Dyson's beastiaries
DESTROYERBILL: the eye is everything everything
Smon: Dragons aren't Beasts.
sandor sunneson: That looks like a 600HP monster from the link sent
Smon: Beasts http://chisaipete.github.io/bestiary/tags/beast
Smon: GM: Is Quillax casting a Readied spell?
Keelia: yes, when it gets close, she's going to sunburst it.
Smon: GM: SB decides to eat his pink cleebus cheese
Keelia: (I need higher CR rated beasts.)
Smon: His hide grows pink & knobbly
DESTROYERBILL: ac=28
Smon: GM OK Q's hands glow golden as she casts Sunburst and holds it readied - the level 8 Sunburst spell range 150', not Sunbeam 60' range yes?
DESTROYERBILL: pink kllebus
Keelia: (so polymorph doesn't do higher levels - same benefits, it looks like)
Keelia: yes, sunburst for the 150' range I don't want it that close to me
Smon: Sunburst has 60' radius so effective range 150+60 = 230'
DESTROYERBILL: what ever you do just blind it
Keelia: perfect. She'll zoom up just close enough and cast
Smon: GM: #7 Dreadnought - it advances rapidly; as it comes within range Q unleashes a Sunburst at its eye...
Smon: save DC?
Keelia: (god I hope it fails the con save but I think it probably won't.)
Keelia: 19
Smon: GM OOC As you are specifically targeting its eye I am being kind and disallowing Legendary Resistance, so it could fail.
Keelia: very kind , thanks
Smon: /roll d20+7
Smon rolls 1d20+7 and gets: 8, (+7) = 15
DESTROYERBILL: thanks
Smon: It's blinded!
Keelia: phew
DESTROYERBILL: yes
sandor sunneson: woohoo
Keelia: yay!!!
DESTROYERBILL: its power is lessend
Keelia rolls 12d6 and gets: 5, 4, 4, 6, 6, 4, 3, 1, 4, 5, 2, 6, = 50
Keelia: blinded for the moment, anyway
Smon: The creature roars angrily, it comes within 300-160 = 140' of you but cannot blast you with its eye as dazzled.
Smon: also 50 radiant dmg
Smon: It gets another save at end of its turn
Smon: /roll d20+7
Smon rolls 1d20+7 and gets: 12, (+7) = 19
Keelia: and it passed
Smon: It blinks, its vision starting to clear (still lost that round of Eye-ing you)
Keelia: I need to boost my spell save.
DESTROYERBILL: got any more of those blinding spells
Keelia: Sunbeam blinds also
Smon: R2
Smon: Range is 140'. #23 SB your go
DESTROYERBILL: i pull out my bow and shoot twice at the beasts eyes
DESTROYERBILL: or eye
sandor sunneson: aye aye
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d20+16 and gets: 4, (+16) = 20
Smon: SB doffs shield & gets 1 shot
Smon: AC 20 exact hit
Smon: actually +18 apparently
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d12+10 and gets: 7, (+10) = 17
DESTROYERBILL: oops its actually +12 soory
Smon: ok
Smon: #18 sandor
sandor sunneson: He's got some javelins he'll throw at the eyes
Smon: OK Sandor can float forward a bit and throw 1 javelin at extreme range, roll w disad
Smon: 2 javelins I'll allow assume fast load quiver
sandor sunneson Rolls 1d20+8x2 and gets:
13 (+8) = 21
12 (+8) = 20
Smon: 1st hit despite a totally wrong att bonus
Smon: You have +6 Prof and STR at least +4 right?
sandor sunneson: yes, 18 STR
Smon: So +10
Smon: d6+4 dmg
sandor sunneson rolls 1d6+4 and gets: 2, (+4) = 6
Smon: 6/2 = 3
Smon: 2nd javelin
sandor sunneson rolls 1d20+10 and gets: 2, (+10) = 12
Smon: Miss
sandor sunneson: 2 srtoked off his list
Smon: #12 Quillax your go
DESTROYERBILL: blinding spells
Keelia: She'll zoom up closer and raise both her hands and lay down a sunbeam straight at it's eye
Keelia: "Did no one ever tell you not to look at the sun," she quips
Keelia: "You may go blind."
Smon: Sunbeam normally needs a magnifying glass or spell focus - what is your normal focus?
Smon: You can roll DC 15 Religion or Nature to extrude your focus as a bonus action
Keelia rolls 1d20+10 and gets: 10, (+10) = 20
Smon: OK you extrude some mistletoe I guess?
Keelia: sounds amusing
Smon: Q-lemental flies straight at the massive dreadnought, light blasting from her hands... very Marvel movie
Keelia: let's go with that. An air elemental with a spring of mistletoe in her 'hair'
Keelia: (I have been watching various marvel movies recently, my actions may be slightly influenced  )
Smon: You fly 80' to within 60' range & fire
Smon: CON save
Smon: /roll d20+7
Keelia: con save vs 19
sandor sunneson: lol
Smon rolls 1d20+7 and gets: 18, (+7) = 25
Smon: pass - not blinded
Smon: roll dmg (halved)
Keelia:
sandor sunneson: boo
Keelia rolls 6d8 and gets: 4, 3, 5, 2, 3, 7, = 24
Keelia: so 12
Smon: /roll d20+7
Smon rolls 1d20+7 and gets: 16, (+7) = 23
Smon: (also passed vs SB's arrow at its eye)
Smon: #7 The Dreadnought affixes Quillax & those behind her with its terrible eye...
Smon: Anti-magic field - you lose all your magic bonuses & casting ability. Q's form counts as natural I'm ruling so she stays an elemental.
Smon: However she cannot shift form
Keelia: OK
Smon: The Dreadnought reaches Q and tears at her with its terrible claws.
Smon: & bite
Smon: /roll d20+16x3
Smon Rolls 1d20+16x3 and gets:
8 (+16) = 24
6 (+16) = 22
11 (+16) = 27
Keelia: ouch
Smon: AC/roll 6d6+18
Smon: /roll 5d10+9
Smon rolls 5d10+9 and gets: 8, 6, 5, 1, 4, (+9) = 33
Smon: /roll 6d6+18
Smon rolls 6d6+18 and gets: 5, 4, 6, 4, 3, 4, (+18) = 44
Smon: 77 dmg (magical)
Smon: 13 left
Keelia: well, I'm not dead but that certainly hurt
Smon: R3
Smon: #23 SB
Smon: It's 80' from SB & S
DESTROYERBILL: i move 40 feet to the left and shoot at its eye w
Smon: SB flies out of the field
Smon: 2 shots, disad vs eye
DESTROYERBILL Rolls 1d20+18x2 and gets:
18 (+18) = 36
19 (+18) = 37
DESTROYERBILL Rolls 1d20+18x2 and gets:
8 (+18) = 26
5 (+18) = 23
Smon: 2 hits
sandor sunneson: nice one Bill, good shootinh
DESTROYERBILL: thanks
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d12+12 and gets: 8, (+12) = 20
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d12+12 and gets: 10, (+12) = 22
Smon: DC 10 & 11 CON saves
Smon: /roll d20+7x2
Smon Rolls 1d20+7x2 and gets:
16 (+7) = 23
2 (+7) = 9
sandor sunneson: fail!
Smon: It spends a Legendary Resistance to not lose its eye
DESTROYERBILL: ah well
DESTROYERBILL: just 3 more saves and it no longer has an eye
Smon: 2 resistance left yup
Smon: Also 42 dmg is a lot!
DESTROYERBILL: i am a legendary barbarion so yeah
Smon: The Dreadnought screams and terrible pain racks all your minds
Smon: DC 19 WIS save
Smon: /roll 2d10+4
Keelia rolls 1d20+14 and gets: 16, (+14) = 30

DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d20+1 and gets: 4, (+1) = 5
Smon: 23 psychic damage
Smon: Sandor takes 11 (saved), SB 23, Quillax 11 (saved)
Smon: Q-lemental on 2 hp right?
DESTROYERBILL: shield biter screams in pain as the only thing he is not resistent to hits him
Smon: #18 Sandor your go
Keelia: (yes, she is)
sandor sunneson: Bill, you think I should attack it with sword or go for the glory eye shot with javelin?
sandor sunneson: and Keelia, please discuss ha ha
Smon: You are out of 30' range to target eye w javelin
sandor sunneson: or just bring it down HP wise?
Smon: Can't do a called shot if you already have disad
DESTROYERBILL: you cant reach it with sword but your javilin is to inacurate to hit the eye
sandor sunneson: Sandor will attack it, best form of attack for a barb
Smon: Sandor can float slowly towards it across the astral sea
Smon: What's your INT - 12?
sandor sunneson: and gets ready to rage
sandor sunneson: 13
Smon: OK you float 26' towards it on a double move

Keelia: Dude.
DESTROYERBILL: and you will never find out

Smon: #18 Sandor
Smon: rage?
sandor sunneson: he'll retreat
Smon: OK you can disengage and move 13', or take an opp att & go 26'

Smon: #12 Quillax - you fly out of the beam
Smon: Power returns...
Keelia: Phew
Keelia: (as an air elemental, am I strong enough to tow Sandor along with me in this plane? since's its more like flying than walking?)
Smon: Yes he's small enough to pick up & carry at full speed
Keelia: Seeing as SB has gone awol, she'll grab Sandor and double time it out of there
Smon: OK you can swoop round and close in 90', grab Sandor, you'd have 90' left at a double move & it gets an opp att
Smon: So it'd have to miss you for you to escape
Smon: it'd have to roll a 1 to miss you
Keelia: Hm. I have 2 HP. If it hits, we're screwed...
Keelia: ok, that won't happen
Keelia: how close is sandor to the baddie?
Smon: 13' from tip of its claws
Smon: just out of its 10' reach
Smon: hm...
Keelia: OK. She'll zoom up, and lay down another line of sunbeam at it's eyes.
Keelia: or eye, rather
Smon: Actually yeah you can grab him w 3' to spare!
Smon: sorry my mistake
Keelia: so no opp att?
Smon: You can grab him and flee yup
Smon: (I thought Sandor's slow float away was silly but it works!)
Keelia: then we are gone
sandor sunneson: cool, thank you Keelia

Smon: Quillax your turn - you could reach the island and leave off Sandor under some palms?
Keelia: Sounds like a plan. Can she see SB is back?
Smon: An unseen sun shines through the waving palms.
Smon: Yes, looking back Q sees SB battling in the distance

Smon: And should probably check her XP tally
Keelia: I'll do that tomorrow and see where I ended up
Smon: GM: The desert island looks a nice place to spend the week while you rest up and Q prepares Plane Shift.
Keelia: Q will tow SB to where she left S and rest to get plane shift
Smon: 1 subjective week later you are healed up - nothing bothers the astral dreadnought slayers...
Smon: SB has the eye, it has clouded over a bit, resembling a giant quartz gem.
Keelia: Q will go and collect all her random s*** that exploded everywhere from her bag of holding, wrap it up in cloaks and once she finds Claw, start putting stuff into HIS bag of holding - except the ghost dude's stuff because that caused some issues
Keelia: she does occasionally learn from the stuff that happens to her. Sometimes. When she can be bothered
Smon: GM: Where do you want to Plane Shift to on Golarion?
Smon: You can go to a general location only
Keelia: that's ok, we can tree stride if we need to
Keelia: Mm, probably back to our usual town's area. Q will drop off her stuff, pick up a new bag of holding then have to go find the rest of the party
Smon: Jorgenfist? Magnimar? Wolf's Ear?
Keelia: wolf's ear. She'll head home to the library first
Smon: Library is at Jorgenfist
Keelia: Jorgenfist, I mean. Q is from wolf's ear, so it's the same thing in my head
Smon: GM: Q Plane Shifts the trio back to Jorgenfist, her followers are delighted and amazed to see her again. Clank: "Mistress! We thought you were dead! Seven months you were gone!"
Keelia: "Ah. That's not good," she replies. "Had a small accident. Ended up on another plane," she explains.
Smon: "Dire tidings my lady! The Rune Lords are on the March! Many Pathfinders and others have been lost..."
Keelia: "We're going to need to get caught up on what's been happening. Obviously time works differently where we were."
DESTROYERBILL: oh shit my wife is going to kill me
Keelia: Q's words are not repeatable
Keelia: "I think we have slightly bigger problems than that," she comments to SB. "You go home, check in, I'll find Claw and Drak."
Smon: GM: OK will stop there for now.
Keelia: Great game, thanks!
Smon: Was fun
