Smon: "SEND ME! OR I WILL DESTROY YOUR MINIONS!"
Keelia: Q drifts forward. "I will need to touch you." She reaches out and cast plane shift at 8th level
Smon: The nagas seem to have stopped approaching.
Keelia: "Go home."
Smon: "THANK YOU."
Smon: With a shimmer, the vast Kraken disappears!
JamesDevil: yay!
JamesDevil: "I suggest we head back to that other room, before the naga change their minds!
Smon: Quillax gets an Epic Boon; Claw & Sandor get +10,000 XP

Keelia: "I don't have fly and wind walk takes a minute to enter the form and another minute to exit the form, so there is the disadvantage of that, plus I'm burning spell slots and we won't have a way home."

Keelia: I can do water walk as a ritual
Keelia: How do we get Drak across?
Smon: The largest gap between pylons is about 50' but most are 25' apart.
Keelia: unless SB can carry him?

joriandrake: I can summon a shadow steed, but it can't fly or walk the water normally
Smon: SB certainly looks like he could carry Drak.

joriandrake: If Quillax does the water walk ritual then it is best if Drakh just also does that to keep the group together

Keelia: (honestly, I'm not that interested in debating the origin of a kraken seeing as we're trying to save the world, but if others feel the need...  )

Smon: GM: The spell cast, you proceed south another 1/4 mile to where the tunnel opens into the great cavern.

The vast hallway comes to a sudden end, looking out into a vast
underground lake. The dark waters ripple thirty feet below the
jagged edge of the hall’s end. A series of intermittently-spaced
stone pilings extends south, indicating that at one point the hall
transformed into a bridge that extended south over the lake,
but the bridge itself must have collapsed long ago.
This vast cavern’s limits recede off into darkness, as do the
inky black waters of the lake that takes up the chamber’s
extent. The ceiling rises to form a cathedral-like space above.
Stalactites hang here and there, some of prodigious size, while
two irregular rows of stone pilings lead south, out across the
waters. The sound of gently cascading water echoes through
the cavern.
Smon: Those of you with Darkvision can dimly make out the ruins atop island(s?) about 400' to the south, and a closer island 150' or so the SW near the western cavern wall.
JamesDevil: Claw is holding his torch
joriandrake: Drakh will share what he observes with those who can't see such details
Smon: Drak & Quillax see the shapes of several writhing dark nagas on the SW island, looking in your direction as the torch light spills over the dark waters.
JamesDevil: "I can't see shit, what can you guys see?"
joriandrake: "Elven supremacy"
joriandrake: Drakh chukles
Keelia: "Nagas, some land, some ruins."
Smon: SB using dragonsight you see the nagas too, they seem to be watching not approaching.
joriandrake: (human head on snake body - type of naga?)
Keelia: "With luck, they'll continue to follow their Kraken god's command to stop and we'll be able to pass."
JamesDevil: @Bill what the hell is draginsight?
Smon: The SW naga isle: A barren, rocky isle rises barely above the level of the water here.
Something has cleared the island of all rocks and other bits of
debris—every stalagmite has been broken off at the root, and
the remaining rubble has been placed deliberately across the
isle in strangely complex and unsettling coiling patterns.
DESTROYERBILL: eagle eyes re named

Smon: The south isle (barely visible): A barren, rocky isle rises from the lake waters. Atop the island’s
thirty-foot-high peak lie the cracked foundations of a longcrumbled
structure of some sort.
JamesDevil: i took the eagle totem at that second level so suppose i have it too then
Smon: Yes, if you had darkvision you could see stuff beyond the torchlight with eagle vision
Keelia: IIRC, SB has someone who can clone gear, perhaps he can arrange a set of dark vision goggles on his next disappearance?
Smon: GM: You could probably get Golemworks in Magnimar to make you a set.
JamesDevil: are they attunment?
Smon: nope
JamesDevil: sweet!
Smon: If you already have darkvision they add +60' range, so would give Drak 120', or 240' vision in low light from torch etc.
joriandrake: that is nice, that means it is actually still useful for me as long range sniper
Smon: GM: Are you walking on the water? South between the pylons to the south island? Or to the naga island?
Keelia: towards the ruins?

joriandrake: as we walk on water Drakhaien will use Prestidigitation to create ... smoke on the water

Smon: GM: You walk over the still waters, the sound of a distaht waterfall to the south growing closer. After 400' you reach the shore of a small low island, it turns out there is a 20-30' gap then the larger island with the ruined tower. To the SW those of you with darkvision can make out a sandy beach on the west edge of the cavern about 150' away - A wide beach of damp stone rises up from the lake’s edge
here. Numerous stalagmites and stalactites decorate the
region, which narrows down to a pair of twenty-five-foot-wide
passageways leading to the west. A twenty-foot-wide pathway
has been smashed through the stalagmites from the lake to the
southernmost entrance—this path is smeared with slime and
bits of strange, violet meat.

Keelia: Q pauses. "Slime and purple flesh. be on your guard."
Smon: GM: As you climb up onto the larger island you see through the tumbled remains of the tower wall to the smooth floor of the interior - oddly smooth, not a single bit of debris.
JamesDevil: Claw grip the sword of Wrath
joriandrake: "Perhaps we should come back when this is all cleaned up again"
Keelia: Q lifts her hands with produce flame to both light the area and prepare to defend herself.
Smon: You can roll Nature to ID the meat fragments
JamesDevil: Claw throws a stone into the tower

Smon: The stone passes over the ruined wall and drop straight through the 'floor' meeting no resistance - an illusion?
Smon: DC 18 for the meat
Keelia: Q has +2 saves against illusion, she'll try to do perception?

Keelia: (pitiful rolls but hopefully that's enough  )
Smon: Q's vision shifts and the 'floor' becomes translucent - it's an illusion covering a deep shaft heading straight down, 20' across.
Keelia: She relays this to the others
JamesDevil: "hmm, how far down does it go?"
JamesDevil: "can you tell?"
Keelia: She'll move up to the edge and look down
Smon: Q steps over the rubble at a low spot and looks down - with torch behind her she can see down 120' or so but it just keeps on going, probably much deeper than that.
Keelia: "Deep," she replies. "Further than I can see."
joriandrake: Drakh will aid with his own perception/investigation skills when needed
JamesDevil: Claw drops the torch down the hole
Keelia: (Oh, i just realised I have an ever burning torch in my bag. Claw can have that to replace his dropped torch, if he promises not to drop it down another hole  )

Smon: Q sees the torch fall a long long way, then the tiny point of light finally hits the ground(?) and winks out. Can roll Survival for distance estimate DC 15

Smon: The walls of the shaft are somehat rough, DC 20 Athletics to climb down (1 check per climb action)
Keelia: She relays her estimate. "Do we want to go explore?"

joriandrake: Drakh checks if the light is dim enough, if yes, he can then just fly down
JamesDevil: Claw will clime down, if he slips he'll eagle fly down a few feet to catch himself
Smon: Yes no light except the torch SB can climb/fly, Claw is eagle totem flight & auto athletics so same, Drak can fly. Q are you wildshaping to go down?

Keelia: (Oh dear.)
Smon: A ten-foot-wide, fifteen-foot-long hallway extends from the
bottom of the 20' wide deep pit, ending at a massive pair of black metal
double doors. The faces of these doors bear a detailed carving
of a vast mountain range under a night sky—an eerie castle of
immense size crowning the tallest of the mountains. The mountains look very familiar to Quillax, the same ones from her recent vision. Somehow she knows this is Leng.

Smon: There is a faint mechanical humming sound in the air, almost too low to hear.
JamesDevil: "We should check for traps..."
Smon: The great doors at the end of the short hallway look to be made of adamantium
Keelia: "Do you hear the humming?" she murmurs. "I didn't realise the Leng were technologically advanced. Drak, check for traps on the door, but with care."
DESTROYERBILL: i could break it down if you want
Smon: There is a lock.
JamesDevil: Trap check first
joriandrake: Stealth-investigation
Smon: Checking the doors, Drak picks up the signs of an arcane ward - likely a powerful one.
joriandrake: Drakhaien looks around to spot a key or mechanism to open the lock
joriandrake: Drakh inspects it with Arcana knowledge as well
Smon: No key is visible; you could try to pick it with thieves' tools, at risk of setting off the trap.

Smon: Claw opens the doors...
A vast cathedral towers here, lit by flickering blue lights that
dance in the upper reaches of the yawning space. The floor is
of a sickly blue stone so polished and reflective that it almost
serves as a cerulean mirror. To the west, the ceiling is a mere
fifty feet high, but as the cathedral widens to the east, the
ceiling rises to twice that height. Stone pillars support the
space above, while to the west, six alcoves containing statues
of winged women with empty faces stand guard. A twentyfoot-
tall stone double door sits in the cathedral’s northern
wall, its face carved with a depiction of a vast mountain range
capped by a towering castle. Far to the east, a series of steps
rises up to a wide pulpit on which crouches an elephantine
faceless sphinx carved from black stone.
Smon: (you are at west end of the titanic cathedral)

Smon: It's probably 160' or so east to west, the wider eastern section is about 50' north-south
JamesDevil: Bill if you are refering to the fire that happened recently i suggest you do not speak of it again
Keelia: I bet that sphinx is going to try to kill us, Q mutters to herself.

joriandrake: (this might be due to language barrier but I have a hard time to imagine the enemy's combat, in old video games / RPG maker games sometimes a bug happens where all enemies of same type are packed on the same spot on screen, you think as fight starts you only battle 1 enemy bnut there are many stacked on same location, I currently imagine this is how we fight this tentacled vacuum cleaner as well)
