Simon N. (GM):GM: The Giants' Moot - Quillax and Malassandra find Rukvara standing over the badly beaten body of her challenger the stone giant Teraktinus, as the assembled Goliath, stone giant and hill giant clans bend the knee, acknowledging her rulership of the Iron Peaks.

Rukvara as you are hoisted aloft by celebrating stone giants (including Conna the Wise and her husband Galenmir) you see Claw's former companions Mal & Quillax approaching through the crowd.
Claw:"Friends! Welcome! Where is my Mate?"
Chris T.:Mallooks sad but says nothing.
Claw:"We have mu 'talking'

"what is it?"
Quillax:Q motions to a nearby enclosed space (tent/house)
"We must speak, Lady Rukvara."
Claw:Ru,k nods and motions to the giants to leave
she follows Quillax to the house/tent
Simon N. (GM):You enter Conna's spacious tent. The giants wait outside.
Quillax:"There is no easy way to say this," Q starts. "But Claw was felled by a RuneLord, his apprentice, and a hoard."
"But, He....YOU!"
Quillax:"He fought bravely but was outnumbered in the end."
Claw:"And where we're you?"
Simon N. (GM):OOC: I guess Ruk never got the message Q's druids sent last session. :)
Q motions Mal to make some tea.
Chris T.:Mal makes herself useful
Quillax:"I was the first to fall. We lost most of our party. Mal was the only one to escape with my body."
Claw:"And yet you are here alive now..where is his body at least? we much bury him in honour so that he might walk with his ansestors"
Quillax:"We're working on that," Q says. "His remains lay under guard by the RuneLord's forces."
Claw:"Point me at these forces, I have an entire army on my side not to mention my own WRATH"
Quillax:"We'll have to weaken him before we can retrieve Claw's remains, though if we do, I believe it is within my power to return him to life."
Claw:Her eyes flare a glowing red
Quillax:"I would not send you and your army to a certain destruction. Claw would not think kindly of me. Karzoug is beyond us at the moment but we will get him back. If it is the last thing I do, it will be done," Q promises.
Chris T.:"Wedo have a way to start...." Interupts Mal respectfully
Quillax:Q shakes her head. "Lady R has new responsibilities"
Chris T.:"We now know of a way to bring Runelord Zutha to us.."
Ruk:"Nothing is more important to me than my Mate, I can entrust everything else to those beneath me until my return, just as he did...."
Chris T.:"A ritual, if we can secure tyhe Bone Grimoire from the Shrine of the Seal."
Ruk:OOOC how do i upload a new Avatar again?
Quillax:"I cannot ask you to risk yourself as Claw."
Ruk:"I wasn't going to wait for you to ask"
Chris T.:"Queen Rukvara. Unless we weaken the runelord's forces there is no way to bring back your mate."
Ruk:Ruk leans down to stare Quillax dead in the eyes
Quillax:Q raises a hand up to hold Mal's voice for a moment
Q looks back at Ruk just as hard.
"Claw and I were friends. He entrusted me with words for your ears only in the past. I will not ask, but I will not stop you."
"To save your husband we must first save the world. It will be dangerous and I would keep you from it for Claw's sake but you are your own self."
"Mal can explain to you the plan, for she has a better grasp than me, but promise me you will listen to the whole of it and judge for yourself the risk."

Simon N. (GM):ok looks good. I uploaded pic to your PC sheet.
Chris T.:"We have been given information from an unusual source. The Runelord Zutha, a powerful Lich would normally be beyond our power to defeat; yet defeat him and others we must do if we are to save the world...and your husband."2222222
"Zutha's soul is split into several fragmants which render him all but immortal. We have learned of a grimoire and a ritual that will allow us to summon all of him to the temple of Xin where we can defeat his evil once and for all."
Ruk:"Ok, so where is this Lich?"
Chris T.:"The Grimoire can be found at the Shrine of Seals in Kaer Magna."
"We must carry the book to Xin's isle and there perform the ritual to summon Zutha."
Ruk:"Ok, how long will that take us?"
Chris T.:"With Lady Quillax's magic we can be at Kaer Magna within the week but we must first go to Magnimar I believe?" She looks at Q
Ruk:"Give me a minute and I'll be ready"
Quillax:Q nods. "We need to gather some more information from Magnimar and some support. For all of us are powerful, we need more support. I sent a request out."
Quillax:"When you are ready, we will leave," Q nods.
Ruk:"Hm, sounds like you have a plan"
Ruk leaves the tent and start yelling out in giant
A Handful approach and she starts giving out orders
They roar in approval and get to work with their assignments
Ruk returns
"Ok, that should cover things here for a while, word will be passed onto my father and other about their new task"
Ruk:Ruk shoulders a heavy looking Axe on her Shoulder
"ready when you are
Quillax:Q nods. "Then let us be off to Magnimar and see what allies await us."
Ruk:ooc smn Ruk doesn't have the Sihedron pro bonus does she?
Planning to give the Epic Mastery (+7) bonus to PCs who complete a full Adventure Path, as Quillax and Mal did. Defeating Karzoug would count.
Basically this campaign mashes up the APs Rise of the Runelords. Shattered Star, and Return of the Runelords. Completing one I'm thinking gives the +7 Epic Mastery boon.
(it does not stack of course!)
GM: Is Quillax Transporting via Plants to Magnimar - Heidmarch Manor?

Simon N. (GM):GM: OK Quillax TVPs to Heidmarch Manor gardens with Mal & Ruk, where she is greeted by Venture Captain Sheila Heidmarch looking sad and worried. "I'm sorry for your loss, Quillax. The Sihedron Council is assembling immediately they know you're here."
Ruk:"What abioout MY loss little man"

Simon N. (GM):Sheila: "I'm very sorry, Queen Rukvara. Please forgive me. You are of course invited to the Council. Mayor Grobaras is keen to take swift action..."
"Can you all be at the City Hall in one hour?"
Simon N. (GM):GM: It's a warm & sunny spring afternoon in Magnimar as the Sihedron Council assemble in their upper room of the City Hall.
Quillax herself is a full member, Malassandra and Rukvara attend as invited guests. Also in attendance with Paralictor Rogare of the Hellknights is another hellknight.
Quillax:Q nods to Rogare as she sits
Simon N. (GM):Rogare: "Welcome, Lady Warden Quillax. This is Sir Victor Septimus, newly arrived from Citadel Vraid. A great hero." His tone is a little cool.
Quillax:(cool towards Q or cool re: Victor?)
Victor Septimus:Victor's head turns to the group, his head slightly tilts downwards. "Greetings"
Simon N. (GM):(cool to Victor - he actually likes Q!) Rogare: "Lictor DeViri personally recommends him."
Quillax:Q eyes Victor, then nods at him. "Welcome Victor Septimus."
Simon N. (GM):In the Chair's seat. Mayor Grobaras chuckles uneasily. "Getting to know each other, I see. Excellent, excellent! Please dp be seated, everyone."
GM: Once everyone is seated, Grobaras calls the meeting to order.
Grobaras: "Commander Odinson, your report please."

Simon N. (GM):Ismeir Odinson, Magnimar City Guard commander, coughs, shuffling his papers. "The Shalast army has passed Wolf's Ear and taken Galduria. Next likely targets are Windsong Abbey, then Sandpoint. Outriders ,may reach Magnimar within the week. We anticipate at most two weeks until an assault on the city walls."
Grobaras: "Thank you, Commander. Any questions?"
Chris T.:OOC Any chance we can have the continental map on top please Simon?

Simon N. (GM):good enough?
Chris T.:Brilliant, thanks.
"There is little between WindsongAbbey and Magnimar to defend..."
Odinson: "Just the Lost Coast. We are evacuating whoever we can. Lord Scarnetti of Sandpoint is most unhappy, but we lack the resources to defend his town."
Chris T.:What forces do we have here or to the east that could be brought to bear?"
Simon N. (GM):Grobaras: "It seems he will have to rebuild Sandpoint a second time!"
Chris T.:(Poor Fabian, dead so long ago in Sand Point :( )
Simon N. (GM):In response Grobaras looks to Thoth Bhreacher of Golemworks. "Your report please, Master Bhreacher."
Bhreacher: "The lightning canon have been tested and are fully operational, though they lack the raw power of the 'Perfect Atomisers' - the Meteor Swarm Bombards. We are confident there is more than enough fire power on the city walls to annihilate Karzoug's army - likely twice over."
Chris T.:"Could the Druids and Shoanti of the Churlwood buy us more time? A counterattack from the rear perhaps?"
OOC - doesn't that just make karzoug more powerful?)
Simon N. (GM):Grobaras waves a hand dismissively at Mal. "No need, dear Malassandra, no need!"
"No lives must be wasted. We shall hold fire until the enemy are at the walls - then destroy them utterly!"
Chris T.:"They would not have to engage, just delay.."
(OOC Have I got it wrong with the deaths of his minions strengthening K?)
Quillax:(correct, the more that die that are bearing the runemark, the more powerful he becomes)
Simon N. (GM):(OOC no you are right). Grobaras shrugs. looks to Quillax. "The folk of Churlwood look to you for leadership, do they not? Is it worth their lives to slow the advance?"
Chris T.:"Surely then a delaying action while we weaken the runelords themselves is favourable to us?"
Simon N. (GM):Paralictor Rogare coughs. "That depends. What exactly happened at Xin Shalast? Is Karzoug weakened?"
Chris T.:"Wolf's Ear betwixt mountains and forrest is a natural ambush point?"
M looks striken.. and looks at Lady Q
Simon N. (GM):Odinson: "Yes - the enemy, sadly, have already sacked Wolf's Ear."
Quillax:Q flattens her lips - "As many as could be evacuated, were evacuated. It is lost for now, there is nought to be done but destroy the Runelords and rebuild later."
Ruk:"Now thats a plan I can get behind2
Chris T.:M bow,respectfulof the choices of the council.
Simon N. (GM):Grobaras looks to Quillax & Mal. "We know of the tragic loss of Chief Claw and an elven hero at Xin Shalast. Were you able to weaken Karzoug? Or at least learn more of the threat?"
Quillax:"At best we were able to slow some of his plans by 37 years."
She runs them through the events
Ruk:Ruk smiles at the parts about Claws victories and shows of strengh, but winces around his death
Simon N. (GM):Proctor Jyronn Imikar: "So, Karzoug planned to bring an army through from ten thousand years past? Incredible!"
Grobaras: "Despite that you were unable to destroy Karzoug, nevertheless your achievements sound most impressive!"
Rogare grunts: "The question remains. Which is more dangerous - Karzoug himself, or the army approaching our walls?"
Ruk:"This is simple, like hunting, you cut over the beast head and the body dies, we take the head"
Chris T.:"By destroying the army we strengthen Karzoug. But when that army is battering down yourn gates...?"
Simon N. (GM):Sheila: "If only the Runelords could be persuaded to fight each other. not us..."
Chris T.:"We may have a way of destabalising them..."
"By weakening, or destroying one we may make a better prize for the others to aim at rathyer than us.."
Simon N. (GM):Grobaras: "It is clear the army must be destroyed, or Magnimar will not survive. We have asked Korvosa for aid, but they sent only token assistance. They claim to be threatened by Runelord Krune in Kaer Maga."
Rogare listens attentively to Malassandra. "What's your plan?"
Victor Septimus:"from the sounds of your losses, brute force will not work."
Chris T.:"It is to Kaer magna we must go. To the shrine of the seal."
Ruk:"Brute force ALWAYS works, you just have to apply it to the rigth point at the right time"
Chris T.:"Here there is an artefact that will allow us to destroy one of the runelords.."
Victor Septimus:"water is also wet"
Chris T.:Mal smiles at Queen Ruk's words. What a great match she was for mighty Claw.
Ruk:Ruk reaches for her Axe, "don't try to be funny little man.."
Simon N. (GM):Grobaras: "One of the Runelords, Lady Malassandra? Not Karzoug?"
Victor Septimus:"if we wish to keepo those hadns, i suggest they stay to themselves"
Chris T.:"Karzoug for now is beyond outr strength. We learned that to our great sorrow."
Simon N. (GM):Rogare puts a warning hand on Victor's shoulder.
Simon N. (GM):Grobaras: "Please, please! Conflict serves only our enemies!"
Victor Septimus:"Victor's golden eyes shine through the mask as they wonder to Rogare's
Ruk:"It MUST be Karzoug, its his army approaching, and he is the one who killed my Mate!2
Simon N. (GM):Rogare: "Krune hardly seems worth killing - Zutha?"
Chris T.:"I feel your pain, your majesty. But the best way to return your husband is to fracture the runelords, turn them against each other."
Simon N. (GM):Sheila: "Most of Lastwall has already fallen to Zutha. Many Pathfinders have died opposing him..." Grobaras: "Yes, Lady Quillax?"
Quillax:"We cannot take Karzoug alone; that has been demonstrated. However, if we can take out the weaker RuneLords, we can free up the forces of those areas to assist us. While Krune may hardly be worth killing, that wll give us those forces previously denied, yes? Zutha we know how to summon, which gives us the advantage there."
Simon N. (GM):Sheila: "Sounds reasonable..."
Quillax:"Brute force and Brute magic will play their part but we may need to start with the weaker members, and if we can take their forces, we have fewer areas to fight against."
Simon N. (GM):Grobaras shrugs. "Well, Lastwall will certainly be grateful if Zutha is destroyed."
Quillax:"We are fractured ourselves, by having too many enemies. We must start to reduce those numbers."
Simon N. (GM):Rogare: "Plus, threre is the small matter of the Fangs of Kazavon, guarded by the knights of Lastwall. An artifact of evil that laid Korvosa low. I expect Zutha wants it for himself - it would give him power to surpass eve
n Karzoug."
OOC The Fangs of Kazavon possessed Ileosa of Korvosa 12 years ago and turned her into a mad tyrant & mighty Archmage.
Quillax:"Another magic artefact," Q sighs then grumbles "I am going to ban the creation of those going forward. They simply cause too much trouble. Maybe create an artefact destruction group."
"Lady Quillax, how swiftly could you get us to Kaer Magna?"
Quillax:"As fast as the wind blows," she states.
Victor Septimus:OOC is this where i can purchase or get made a new weapon Simon?
Simon N. (GM):Rogare nods to Quillax. "I concur with your assessment. My Lictor offers you the services of Sir Victor here - greatest warrior in all the Order, they say."
Quillax:(ah, that's where the coolness is coming from :D )

Victor Septimus:Victor looks to Rogare a smug aura about him "So they say"
Quillax:Q looks to Rogare. "You can vouch for his skills? This is likely to end with all our deaths. Again," she rubs at her temples.
Simon N. (GM):Rogare shrugs: "Death is a fate all Hellknights must face with equanimity. And yes, the Order of the Nail vouches for his skills."
Victor Septimus:"i do well enough"
Quillax:Q nods at Rogare, then turns to Victor, "Septimus, I cannot have any wild cards on this mission. I will be trusting your skills to protect myself and the others, whom I hold dear. I need someone who will work with the group, not against it. Even if you find some of the actions we decide upon outside of your usual dogma. Can you handle that?"
Ruk:Ruk props her elbow on Quillax's head
"what she said"
Quillax:Q is slowly squished into her chair :D
Victor Septimus:Victor ignores the giant " i know what my job is and i do it well"
Quillax:"Very well. Is anyone opposed to this plan?"
Simon N. (GM):Rogare: "This time, Chelish and Shoanti must work together - or perish apart." His words seem intended as much for Victor as for Quillax and Ruk. Quillax knows Rogare's wife was killed fighting Shoanti, so this is a big statement from him. :)
Ruk:"So long as it doesn't lengthen the amount of time between me being reunigthed with my nate no
Victor Septimus:when there is a spare moment, i'd like to buy a weapon. I just dpn't know where the list is.
Chris T.:Malassandra is pleased to see such unity of purpose.
Simon N. (GM):Grobaras: "All agreed? Excellent! Lady Quillax and her team will deal with Runelord Zutha. We will eliminate Karzoug's army when it arrives. Then with Karzoug returned to Golarion without his armies, we can deal with him and any other threats arising."
Quillax:"I would hate to have to turn people into fertiliser," Q mutters to herself in Auran, knowing that Mal can understand but likely no others.
Quillax:"Try not to kill Karzoug's armies - or at least as few as possible - remember each death bolsters the RuneLords' power."
Ruk:ooc, set those cannon's to stun :P
Simon N. (GM):Odinson: "We will slay only as many as necessary to defeat them."
Quillax:Q nods. "Then ready yourselves. We will depart as soon as everyone has gathered their gear."
Victor Septimus:ill take potions of healing and +1 longsword

Simon N. (GM):GM: The meeting adjourns.
Ruk:@smn Thoses definitly look like they have a stun setting ;)
Chris T.:Mal asks Quillax if she may take one of her marvelous ointmentsin case they find themselves downed again?
Chris T.:Then stocks up on trail rations and is ready to go.

Ruk:Ruk is outside practicing her Axe swings and generally streeching
Quillax:Each jar holds 5 doses, which does 2d8+2 healing and has extra benefits
such as ceasing to be poisoned and cured of any disease
Ruk:"Ah yes, last him he came back we had fun using these as lubrication...."

Quillax:Q twitches a little at the thought of very expensive potions being used so casually...
Ruk:"What? you people are so timid"
Simon N. (GM):30/3/4720 AR, morning: Having equipped in Magnimar, you assemble at Heidmarch Manor for the trip to Kaer Maga, known as the Asylum Stone.
Sheila, her husband Sir Canayven, and Sir Rogare are in the garden to see you off.
GM: Take a moment to add any stuff you need to your PC sheets from PHB or the items list.
Sheila: "Good luck, everyone. Remember, your lives are the most important thing. We've lost too many good people already."
Quillax:"We'll do our best to take care. Keep yourselves safe. We'll be back as soon as we can be."
Simon N. (GM):Sheila nods. "Magnimar will be here waiting when you get back." She smiles a little wanly.
Quillax:(Q's adding a bag of holding to her stockpile. Doesn't hurt to have more)
Simon N. (GM):Rogare regards Septimus: "Crush our enemies. Destroy Zutha the Devourer. End his threat to the Realm of Law."
Victor Septimus:
By 11th level, you are so suffused with righteous might that all your melee weapon strikes carry divine power with them. Whenever you hit a creature with a melee weapon, the creature takes an extra 1d8 radiant damage.
Ruk:Ruk whispers to her Axe
Quillax:"I'll try not to adopt any of his minions," Q teases Rogare as she passes
Simon N. (GM):The Axe of the Iron Peaks seems to whisper back. :)
Ruk:"Give me the strenght I need to bring him back, that is all I ask....."
Victor Septimus:Victor bows, to Rogare. "For the order"
Simon N. (GM):Rogare smashes gauntleted fist to breastplate. "For the Order."
Victor Septimus:Victor does the same and strides off
Simon N. (GM):Rogare favours Quillax with a slight smile, then turns away.
Quillax:Q claps her hands - "Alright, everyone that's going, gather around. Keep your arms and weapons inside the magic circle. You are about to be turned into fast moving clouds. You won't be able to talk, uou can be seen, don't stray to high, and please for the love of Ayomeday, stay near me so you don't get lost."
Victor Septimus:Victor nods
and merly looks at Quillax
Simon N. (GM):Sheila & Canayven wave you goodbye as Quillax casts Wind Walk and you turn into whispy clouds for the long trip to Kaer Maga. Flying east along the Yondabakari River, you cross Lake Syrantula and follow the river north east past Abken, until after hours of travel you see Kaer Maga looming on the Storrval Rise ahead. An eerie sight indeed. Older than Varisia. Older than Thassilon...

Simon N. (GM):GM: OK, looking to stop there for tonight. Mal & Quillax have a kind of imprinted knowledge from Sorshen that the Necromancer Erigantus can be found in Shrine of the Seal below
Kaer Maga, and that he owns the Bone Grimoire with which Zutha can be summoned and destroyed. You don't know where the Shrine of the Seal is exactly, though likely the Duskwardens know.
Quillax:(assuming Mal asked that before and Q answered before) - "For 1 minutes, you are between cloud and normal - it is a dangerous time where you are vulnerable and cannot defend yourself. We wlll find a safe place to land and turn back to our normal forms when we get there"
